MSC Birthday Tulips

Today I used a stamp set I just received for my birthday. I love the Gina K Designs Spring Tulips mini set, so I chose that set for a gift.

I saw this idea on Pinterest where the originator places the tulip set above and below the greeting, so I wanted to try her method. I love the outcome. I colored the tulips and leaves with Spectrum Noir markers. After coloring, I placed the colored layer back in my MISTI and stamped with Versafine Black Onyx ink embossing with clear powder. It brought the lines back and gave it a bit of shine. I used Spellbinders dies to cut the image and black layer, then mounted on a white card base.

I am adding this to the fourseasons: April Spring Challenge. Tulips are Spring Flowers so it fits that challenge. I am adding this to Seize the Birthday, Signs of Spring.

Easter Treat Box

Hello and welcome. I want to wish you all a Happy Easter.
This treat box is for our neighbors 2 year old grandson. Every time he’s at grandma & grandpa’s he has to come to see Doug & Gerry, could that be because I always have a treat for him???
The box is from the Silhouette. Instead of stamping & coloring, I took the easy way out and used a clip art bunny and fussy cut it. Corner dots are a small circle hand punch, punched from pp. Inside has light green tissue paper that I cut the top edge with a MS scissors. I’m not sure but I think the scissors is called a fringe cutter.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Easter Wishes

Hello and welcome. Today Vegas is definitely the windy city. I was almost blown over walker and all.
Today’s card is for our 24 year old granddaughter. I usually make some kind of fun fold for her but this year she gets a “plain” old card. Pp was found online, sentiment was printed on the computer, ovals are Spellbinders Petite oval & Petite scalloped petite oval. After rounding the corners of the pp I edged all around with a Copic marker.

Thanks for stopping by.

Embossed Eggs

Can You Handle The Pressure Challenge

An Easter card for my candy loving, much to his mother’s dismay, grandson Chase includes a chocolate bunny and a jelly bean egg!

The challenge at Can You Handle The Pressure is Anything Goes Embossing + Easter twist. Love to play along with the twists and found my Darice decorated egg embossing folder. I inked it first and ran it through by Big Shot but didn’t like the outcome so after cleaning the ink off the embossing folder just opted for plain white. My egg was made using SimonSaysStamp’s Nested Eggs dies and cutting a piece of patterned paper from my stash with the larger die. This patterned paper reminded me of jelly beans which Chase & I both enjoy. The Chocolate Bunny is an older Gina K Designs stamp set which was illustrated by Asela Hopkins. I stamped it on brown cardstock, fussy cut it and colored in the bow with colored pencils.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and be safe.

Wavy Horizon

As You See It Challenge #272

The challenge with the As You See It Challenge: Challenge #272 is Horizontal Array sketch challenge. After watching this week’s SimonSaysStamp’s Yipee for Yanna YouTube video using SSS’s Waves Builder stamp, I felt it would fit perfectly for this challenge. This background waves stamp comes in separate pieces so you can stamp each layer in different colors. Today, my colors are OYG of the rainbow order and I used inks from Gina K Designs, SimonSaysStamp and Taylored Expressions. After my background was completed, I decided on an old red rubber wood mounted palm tree from my stash which was marked All Night Media stamp. Sentiment is GKD’s Lovely Lilies.

Fun challenge. Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Have a great day and be safe.

Wobbley Bunny

Today’s card is for our 1 year old great-granddaughter. Pp was found online, image is from an online coloring page colored with Copics, fussy cut and put on a wobbler. Center strip was hand cut with a decorative scissors, sentiment was printed on the computer. Corners of pp were punched with a corner rounder punch.

Thank you for stopping by.

Fluffles Garland

Peace On Earth Challenge #3 – Anything Christmas

My mini-slimline card features Stampendous’ Fluffles Garland. If my PennyLane had had enough energy, I can just imagine him doing the same thing as Fluffles. Cats! After seeing this month’s Anything Christmas, I knew I had to use this oldie but goodie stamp set. After stamping and coloring in Fluffles and the garland, I layered this image on some red cardstock, then pulled out some patterned papers layering on red and trimming to fit my mini slimline card was all it took to pull this card together. A Poppy Stamps grosgrain bow die and SimonSaysStamp Sensational Snowflakes completed the look.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and be safe.

Color Yellow

Colorful Options – Yellow April 2022

Love this month’s mood board for the Colorful Options. This Taylored Expressions Aflutter stamp was on my desk and never been inked so I decided it was time. After stamping my butterflies in black and clear heat embossing them, I colored my background with yellow marker. I then wanted to add some “clouds” and pulled out my Bonnie cloud stencil and blended on some Tim Holtz Distress Oxide mustard seed ink. That step did give a little bit of dimension but not really much on the clouds. Sentiment is from the same Taylored Expressions stamp set.

Love this bright yellow mood board, unfortunately, yellow is just not my color to wear.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and be safe!

April-ween

Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge – April Anything Halloween

My card for this month’s Two Old Bats Halloween challenge uses very traditional Halloween colors and not scary! LOL!! Keeping my design pretty classic, I used some patterned paper from my stash, stamped and fussy cut the Stampin Up Bootiful Occasions’ witch boots and layered them on some die cut circles. The scary part was my sentiment. I lined it up, looked good but didn’t realize that the a for “and” shake your Booty was on the black layer. Ugh! Thank goodness for those little pearl embellisments that were still on my desk.

Awesome mood board. I would love that umbrella!!
