Spring CardCamp 2022’s Day 4 homework is all about emboss resist with twists. The concept is to stamp a background stamp in either clear or white embossing powder and with the top card use a layering stencil for the design. The second card’s twist was white heat embossed background stamp, using pixie powder or other similar product on gel press, activate with water and place the embossed panel on the gel press to pick up the color and shine.
Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and be safe.
Very pretty cards. The lemons look yummy.
Both look great! I can see the dots in the lemons. The shimmer balloons look so festive. You did a wonderful job with these techniques.
Thanks, Lisa, I think the hardest part of these classes is trying to find the right supplies. I had fun with this homework.
I agree on the supplies. I am going to wait for next week’s class and let this week go. I like the ideas, but do not own the supplies they keep using, or I am going all over my craft room looking for items or trying to make something work for a supply I do not own. I do like the classes as I always learn something new.
Fun techniques and with interesting twists. The gel press is certainly turning into your friend.
Thanks, Bonnie, I have to use the gel press more to get a better technique. It’s been fun trying new things.
Your cards are super – great idea using the lemon stencils from TE. I have them and haven’t used yet… note to self to use them!
Thanks so much for stopping in Nancy. The stencil was very easy to line up and fun to work with.
Both are very pretty. My mouth is watering from the lemon one 😉
LOL Gerry. It’s a cool layered stencil and fun to work with.
These are great and learning new techniques is probably a lot of fun. Improvising supplies can be tedious though so I agree with Lisa on that.
I love that you did the homework both ways! Great job on both of these.
