Hello and welcome. Today’s card started out as an experiment. I wondered how it would work to color Stampin Up’s metallic ribbon. My experiment was to rub the metallic ribbon with a black stamp pad to get a Halloween look and to my surprise it actually worked. The ribbon is fastened on the back ends of a piece of cardstock. For the background I used a cotton ball and black stamp pad the darken a piece of green cardstock. Spiders are from an old Provo Craft die. I used Wink of Stella on the spider bodies and red glitter glue for their eyes. Letters were cut on the Silhouette and run through an embossing folder by the Paper Studio, ghosts are from an unbranded die.

I’m very excited today because in a couple hours our daughter will be here for a whole week. Can’t wait to spend time with her.

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our oldest granddaughter. I can’t believe how fast these grandchildren grew up.

I found the background paper online. The Happy Birthday die is an unbranded one that I cut twice and added Wink of Stella for a little sparkle. Number 40 was cut on the Silhouette from glitter paper. Another very simple card but I’m happy with it and hubby likes it.

Pottery is traditional for the 9th anniversary. After finding this pottery background paper online I decided to keep the card very simple. Dies used are Spellbinders scalloped and classic ovals, sentiment was printed on the computer. This card is so simple I almost feel guilty sending it.

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for the special server that’s been serving us once a week for years. When I started this card all I knew was that I wanted to use the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits from Stampin Up and I thought the vertical sentiment would work well with it. I double cut the Happy Birthday to give it a little more body. The sentiment dies are unbranded. The colors were decided when I found this pp in my stash.

I just made up the sentiment and inside I put RETIREMENT Happy 65th Birthday. This is for my niece who is really looking forward to retiring a month after her birthday. This is a very quick and simple card but I’m happy how it turned out and hubby likes it and I think my niece will too.

Hello and welcome. Here is dear-old-sister’s chuckle of the month. As usual image and sentiment were found online. “As you get older you have to stay positive. The other day I fell down the stairs. Instead of getting upset, I just thought: Wowww… that’s the fastest I’ve moved in years.” She loved it. I probably should have added some score lines for a little texture but I kind of like it CAS.

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for one of our grandson-in-law’s. It seems I use the red and black combo a lot for masculine cards. Patterned paper is from my stash, fractured die is one I bought on Amazon. At first, I printed the sentiment on white cs but thought it looked too stark, so I printed on Very Vanilla to tone it down a bit. I wasn’t sure I liked it at first, but now I think it’s ok.

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our newest great-grandbaby. Embossing folder used is by Sizzex, rectangle dies are Spellbinders, sentiment was printed on the computer and cut with my paper trimmer and corners rounded with a punch. Ribbon was found in my stash.

Photo used is one my daughter ‘Grandma Lisa’ sent to let me know how happy Georgia was that my Pacemaker replacement surgery went well.

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our middle granddaughter. Being that copper and wool are the traditional gifts for the 7th anniversary I decided to go with copper. Instead of going online and finding penny clip art, I actually scanned a penny. I found I had a circle punch the size of a penny, so the paper pennies are actual size. Sentiment was printed in my Hallmark card program. I added a little note inside explaining the reason for the pennies. This is really pretty simple, but I do like it.
