Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our son-in-law. The idea for this card came from Pinterest.

Background paper was in my stash, red and black panels were cut with my Stampin Up paper trimmer, white label is from a die set that I don’t have a name for. Sentiment was printed in my Hallmark card program, gems were in my stash. Hubby thinks this a great masculine card and I’m very happy with it.

We’re having some pretty high temps this week so I’m not spending much time outside.

Hello and welcome. After seeing some Diamond Fun Fold cards on Pinterest I had to give it a try.

I decided to make it a 5″ square. Sorry I didn’t save the site with the tutorial I used. Background paper was in my stash, dies used are Spellbinders scalloped and classic rectangles, sentiment was printed on the computer, and small flowers are computer clip art. Since I didn’t have any yellow cs light enough I took a white piece and colored it using a blending sponge and Summer Sun stamp pad. I’ve never done that before and I’m very happy how it turned out. That’s something I’ll be trying again.

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our daughter & son-in-law’s 30 anniversary. I looked up what the symbol was for 30 and found out its pearl. Then I went online and found some pearl background paper. After printing it and going through my cs I couldn’t decide which color worked best I asked for hubby’s advice and we both thought the Smokey Slate was best. The decorative edge die is one from a package I bought on Amazon. Sentiment was printed in my Hallmark card program, and the pearls were in my stash. I’m not sure if I really like it but I’ve got a couple weeks to decide. It’s possible I could make a different one.

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our granddaughter who just had her first baby. For some reason I decided to wish her Happy first birthday as a mom then my daughter suggested also adding and last of your 20’s, so that’s on the inside. Sorry but I don’t have any name of the embossing folder or dies I used. The little gems were found in my drawer. I do like how it turned out.

Hello and welcome. Since our daughter became a grandma last week and I just happened to see this quote online “Becoming a Grandma Is Magical! One moment you’re simply a mother the next, you’re wise beyond time.” I just knew I had to use it. She knows I can’t resist a little snark. Image was also found online. Frame is Stitched Squares by Die-namics. I used a marker to edge the top layer and scored all edges.

Hello and welcome. Since I’m a classic country music fan the title for today’s card is the title of an old George Jones song. I thought it was appropriate for the skeleton trying to come out of the ground. Background scene and the skeleton were found online. Skeleton was fussy cut and his head is popped up. Small skeleton heads are from an old Sizzix die; bats are from a Tim Holtz die set cut from black glitter paper. For the small skeleton heads, I lightly sponged black ink on white cs before cutting then added Wink Of Stella to them.

Hello and welcome. Time again for d-o-s chuckle card. Image and sentiment “The older I get the more I realize certain things should just be left alone. Like me for example.” were found online. Dies used are Spellbinders Labels Small, embossing folder from the Paper Studio. The corners of the background piece were punched with a small punch from Stampin Up. That punch is so old I’m sure it’s been retired. D-o-s thought it was so true.

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for my niece. Image and sentiment “Maybe you can’t stay young forever… but… you can be immature for the rest of your life.” were found online. The license plate was blank, but I put her initials and age on it. I just had to be a little nasty ;). Image was fussy cut and I used decorative scissors to cut the edges of the background piece. I think it turned out ok.

Yesterday afternoon we had a small, 3.8, earthquake. It was so weird feeling the whole house shake but thank goodness it wasn’t even strong enough for things to fall off the shelves.

Circle under the flower is Classic Circles by Spellbinders, ovals are Stampin Up punches, sentiment was printed on the computer. Pearl is from my stash.
