Ms. Snow!

Winter is definitely on the way….our temperatures have been very January-like and a bit of snow is sticking around. For my card today, I pulled out Whimsy Stamps Snowball Friends card fronts which was die cut with a Taylored Expressions Arched stacklet then mounted on a stitched rectangle and on a piece of patterned paper that was on my desk. My favorite snowflakes die and sentiment which were previously cut completes my card. I really seem to be in a pink and green mood lately and I didn’t even see the movie Wicked For Good!!!

I would like to share my card with:

Rose Card

I made a card this week to send to a person recovering from surgery. This is my first post using my Ipad.

The paper is GKD red hot and Neenah Classic Crest. I hope this card brightens her day. The stamp set is SU. I fussy cut the image and greeting.

Happy Birthday

Hello and welcome. Had to take a break from Christmas cards to make our grandson’s birthday card. I like the red, black & touch of white combo for masculine cards. Red layer was embossed with Cuttlebug’s Happy Birthday ef, die cuts are stitched squares by Die-namics. strips were cut from pp found in my stash. Sentiment was printed in my Hallmark card program and I added clip art candle numbers.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time and any comments you might make. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Woodland Santa

I was stuck for ideas for my Christmas cards this year when I came across Whimsy Papers Woodland Santa cardfronts and I was energized to get to work with these amazing images. I know they won’t be for everyone but they really spoke to me. The Santa was die cut using Taylored Expressions Arched Stacklets with a backing layer in green cardstock. The TE Kraft cardstock notecard was stamped in kraft ink with TE’s Fineline Foliage background stamp. The sentiment strip was from my stash and the little holly/berry leaves enamel dots were a TE gift with purchase.

My card will be shared with the following challenges:

Gift of Peace

I was digging deep in my stash to find a Christmas present design when I came across this Hampton Arts Outline mounted red rubber stamp. I decided on green packages with a light blue tissue paper, red bows and gold stars. A few snowflakes were added to fill in the space. The image and patterned paper from my stash were backed with black shimmer cardstock.

With Sympathy

Hello and welcome. Sympathy cards are never easy to do but today’s card was really a tuff one. This is for a good family friend who’s 43-year-old daughter committed suicide. I just can’t imagine how difficult that is to deal with.

Embossing folder used is Textiles by Cuttlebug and flower dies are Flourish Thinlits by Stampin Up, label die is Rose Garden Thinlits by Stampin Up. After cutting the label I realized there was like a debossed frame outline left on the cs so I thought why not cut one in black then fussy cut the frame and lay the white label inside it. I hope you can make sense of that. Sentiment was printed on the computer.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time and any comments you might leave. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Friendship Wreath

SimonSaysStamp Wild Berry Wreath embossing folder embossed over Taylored Expressions foiled insider panel. This was card attempt number two.

This was card attempt number one with some ink swiping and red marker for the berries. I wish I would have stopped at the green ink swiping. That red is really throwing me off so I made the second and just kept it white. This embossing folder is quite thick but I don’t believe it is an actual 3D. My card will be shared with:

Ho Ho Ho

Hello and welcome. For some reason I wanted to make a card with a circle and Santa face. Embossing folder used is from The Paper Studio, circles are Spellbinders classic and scalloped circle dies, image was found online. For once it really didn’t take me too long to get the sentiment curved right. I’m kind of happy with the end result.

Wishing you all a very Happy Thanksgiving. I’m so excited, tomorrow our daughter and her family will be coming to celebrate the holiday with us.

Cute Gingerbread Man

Congratulations to Peace On Earth and their 100th challenge. Their mood board seemed to focus on gingerbread men. I always like to play along with a challenge’s theme so my card today features this cute gingerbread man and house from Hunkydory It’s a Cute, Cute Christmas pocket pad. A Stamperia stencil was pounced with white pigment ink onto kraft cardstock, a layer of Gina K Designs pattern paper and Taylored Expressions Arch Nouveau dies to cut my focal image. A bit of green in the sentiment and holly/berry added for more interest.
