Merry Christmas

Hello and welcome. The Santa frame and stars are from Stampin Up’s Detailed Santa Thinlits and the sentiment is Spellbinders dies. Sentiment is two layers, red cs and red glitter cs, stars were cut from silver glitter cs. Before cutting sentiment and stars I backed the papers with some self-adhesive paper. I wasn’t too sure about the stars at first but I do like them.

Where’s The Patty?

Do you remember making these spiders using Stampin Up punches and sandwiching a York Peppermint Patty in between the punches? They were always fun to make and an extra treat until the maker of these patties changed their packaging. I believe I was a bit Halloween card burned out and was trying to come up with an idea for a card for the Two Old Bats challenge and remembered these. My card besides the punched spiders uses a cuttlebug spiderweb embossing folder which was embossed over a web patterned paper and then lightly inked to highlight the embossing lines. Sentiment strips are SimonSaysStamp, I believe.

Always a fun mood board but decided on a different direction this time. Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care, stay safe and healthy.

Fall Leaves

Falling leaves this season definitely have not been neglected as the Taylored Expressions leaf coin die and Stampin Up punches. For a yard that only has small trees, we sure had enough clean up of leaves from our neighbors. The winds this fall season have been quite amazing and we kept on hoping that the leaves would blow to the next house……LOL!

The Neglected Stuff Challenge November 2025

This was a CASE from a card I found online. The coin dies were a 2023 gift with purchase from TE. I should use these more often. The word die is a Spellbinders oldie but goodie. I will be sending my card to my sister who lives in Florida to remind her of the gorgeous fall weather in Pennsylvania. Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and stay safe and healthy.

Merry Christmas

Hello and welcome. When I started this card, I had no idea how it would turn out. I started with an unbranded ef, Stampin Up’s Framelits Holiday Ornaments dies, sentiment die by Spellbinders. Ornaments are cut from red glitter cardstock, and I hand cut the tops from gold glitter paper, cording was in my stash. I couldn’t decide if I wanted the sentiment in red or green, so I cut both then decided to do them the way you see. Before cutting the words, I added self-adhesive backing to the cs. Words have Wink of Stella added for a little shine. Hubby liked it so I guess it’s ok.

Apples under 10

Thanks to Johanna and her post as a reminder of a speed challenge with an apple theme. I searched out my stash and came across Taylored Expressions Apple coin dies. These coin dies were a free with any purchase a few years ago. I had three so apparently I must have spent a lot of money that month!!!The coin die cuts out the circle and the apple. I did find this idea on line with a different coin die. The frame was from my stash and may be a bit wonky looking. Sentiment is from a Love Nicole stamp and die set from I believe JoAnn’s many years ago. Adding spatter over my waste basket was probably not the best idea as it was pretty one sided. My card was completed in 9 Minutes; 21 seconds. Phew! Always fun to play along and share my card with:

’tis the season

Hello and welcome. This card is a CASE of one I saw on Pinterest. The background paper was in my stash. For the square cut out in the frame layer I used a Spellbinders classic square die then ran the piece through a Cuttlebug snowflake ef. Punches used for the snowman are 1 3/4, 3/4″ circles for body and hands, hat is a 1″square with the top corners rounded, Word Window for the hat band, eyes and heart cheeks are hand punches, nose was hand cut, mouth was drawn. Holly in the hat is from an unbranded die set. I used a sponge dauber with Bashful Blue stamp pad to edge the circles. Sentiment was printed on the computer and the tags were cut with my paper trimmer. Snowflakes are from a small punch.

Faults And Flaws

Hello and welcome. Time for DOS chuckle of the month card. As usual, image and sentiment “Some people refuse to admit their faults and flaws. I would if I had any.” were found online. Because it’s been a while since I made a slimline card, I decided to make this a mini slimline. Since it’s so plain, beyond CAS, I decided to score 1/2″ squares down each side to add some texture. I’m not too sure about this one but DOS liked it.

Getting Red–y

Hoping to be motivated to begin making Christmas cards so when the Colorful Options color of the month was RED I immediately thought Christmas. My mostly RED card was made using Taylored Expressions products: Easy Strip Maps, Ho Ho Ho die, 1/4″ easy strip patterns die, A2 postage stamp stacklets. Reds were from my stash.

My card today will be shared with:

Angled Thanksgiving

Hello and welcome. For today’s card I cut a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Pumpkin Pie to layer on the Soft Suede card base then cut the PP layer 1″ shorter and cut from the top right corner to 1″ from bottom left. I adhered the PP after the sentiment was printed. Pilgrim hats are computer clip art. It took a few tries on scrap paper to get the sentiment angle right, but I think it came out ok. I’m not sure if I’m happy with the end result or not.
