Big Hugs

I seem to have acquired a lot of Taylored Expressions Foil-it Insider panels. This is the left over portion of a foiled insider message that I foiled on Gina K Designs polyglaze. A two-for-one!!! My card also includes a stamped and fussy cut image from Inkadinkadoo’s Christmas Characters. TE’s Arched die stacklets were used for my image and shaped card as well as a tone on tone starfall background stamp. A few of my favorite snowflake dies and a stitched hill completes my card. My card will be shared with:

Flying By

Hello and welcome. Like Buddy Gayle, I think it’s time to get going on Halloween cards for 2026. Patterned paper was found online, sky background with flying witch was also found online. Window frame is from the Silhouette and embossed with an ef from The Paper Studio, ghost is an old Sizzix die, spiders are from a die I bought on Amazon. The window frame is popped up with mounting tape. Popping the spiders up was a challenge since they’re so tiny but I managed to cut teeny tiny pieces of Stampin Up’s small dimensionals. Now that I look at it, I think I should have made the ghost a little smaller.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you and your time and any comments you might have. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

I will now share this at https://twooldbatshalloweenchallenge.blogspot.com/2026/01/january-2026-anything-goes-halloween.html

White-Out Jacks

Adding to my Halloween cards with the challenge at:

Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge: January 2026 Anything Goes Halloween

Always an intriguing mood board, I was inspired by a combination of images on it. The haunted house in the snow globe was a Gina K Designs Spooktacular stamp stamped on the white moon. The image was stamped in black versafine and clear heat embossed. The patterned paper background is Whimsy Stamps “Haunted” paper pack. The snowy images on the mood board became white Taylored Expressions Graveyard Shift die and an A2 Thin Frame cutting plate die. A fun card to make. Thank you also for choosing my December card as a Top 3 and to our Buddy Gerry for sharing the good news notification to me.

Wonky Kitty

Playing along with the challenge at: Crazy is our Fame – STENCILS are our Game Stencil Fun January 2026 with an optional theme of Anything with Four Legs. I love the wonky cats from Tim Holtz Alterations/Sizzix stamp set. My background uses Taylored Expressions Wonky Dots stencil that I ink blended in two different colors of inks. TE’s Arch Noueveau dies were also used. My sentiment and the “fish” embellishments are also part of the TH stamp/die set.

Snow Friend

Digging through my stash of goodies, I ran across this Gina K Designs Snowman and a Silhouette Cut File for the image. Well that takes me back quite a bit! After digging a bit further, I found SimonSaysStamps Snowflake Season stamp set. I die cut an oval from the center of a piece of vellum, stamped the Snowflake Season snowflake stamps in versamark and white heat embossed. A second oval was die cut and embossed with Taylored Expressions Tiny Twinkles embossing folder and Frame in Frame 3 Cutting plate.

I’d like to share my card today with the following Challenges:

Something New…..

….is this Simon Says Stamp Pixie Snowflake embossing folder. I tried embossing this snowflake on a variety of different types of cardstock and finally decided that this patterned paper with simple white snowflakes was the best result. After embossing, I swiped first with white pigment ink then added Taylored Expressions Gumdrop ink. Sentiment is Gina K Designs incentive set Warm Mittens to Boot. The die was a separate purchase. Lots of “Blue Space” and simple layers so I think this can be considered CAS. I will be sharing this card with:

Thanks so much for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Still very cold but not as windy and the promise of near 50 degree temps mid week! Take care and stay safe.

90Th Birthday

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for my b-i-l. I found the headline page online and in my Hallmark card program I was able to add his photo and name. Inside sentiment “Happy 90th! You’ve officially reached vintage status.” was found online. I think he’ll especially like seeing what things cost back then.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you, your time and any comments you might add. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe. Happy 2026!

Ruffled Blues

I was intrigued by the ink blended backgrounds by Ciara T Designs YouTube using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks and started blending in a variety of colors. The blues with the white heat embossed Gina K Designs Ruffled Blooms stamp set seemed to fit the following challenge:

Colorful Options: January 2026 Blue and White Challenge

Instead of a winter scene, I opted for a line artblooms and a simple sentiment.

Daughter’s Cards

Happy New Year. While our daughter was here between Christmas and New Years, she wanted me to help her make a couple cards. I love playing in my craft room with her.

The first one is to welcome her first grandchild, due in June. She looked through baby cards on Pinterest to get an idea of what she wanted to make. Pp was in my stash, onesie is from the Silhouette, ef is from Sizzix, letters are from a very old Sizzix alphabet die set. She found the piece of lace and ribbon in my drawer.

The second card is for her son-in-law. Again, she looked through Pinterest to find a design she liked. Pp was just the right size piece in my stash, dies are stitched squares by Die-namics, ef used for the center strip is from Sizzix. Sentiment was printed on the computer. I cut everything, but she put them all together.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.
