As You See It Challenge: Challenge #253 Fast Foilage

It’s a timed challenge at the As You See It Challenge blog and I almost got stuck for time in my foilage card. So the challenge was to create a card under 10 minutes with a foilage theme after collecting all supplies. I CASE’d a Hero Arts card I saw today on their YouTube channel and decided to give it a go. After cutting out the Hero Arts Jungle Fancy Frame die twice in two different shades of cardstock, used my roller brush thingy to get out the pieces of the die….well at least most of the pieces….then used a spray adhesive to adhere in offset layering to my card base. I decided to add the Simon Says Stamp Painted Friend word die also cut twice and added Bonnie’s sentiment strip to complete my card. Good thing I precut the sentiment strips and although a little crooked, I kind of like the idea of this card. Time to wash my sticky fingers and clean up the die pieces which will take another 10 minutes or so.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek.

  1. Such a pretty card! Your foliage makes a beautiul background for your sentiment die cuts and strip. Can’t believe you were able to get it done so quickly with all the weeding of the two layers of the intricate die cuts.

  2. Not sure I can be allowed to use spray adhesive. I kind of like that my eye work and lashes are not stuck together. Sentiment strip sure works great with the big font and especially on the foliage.

  3. Great card my friend. Love that foliage die and how you pulled everything together. I really like the touch of green in the background.

  4. An ambitious project for a speed challenge, yet you’ve pulled it off admirably! Love the off-setting of the dies like this – it really makes them stand out. Thanks so much for joining in with us at As You See It again for our scariest challenge of all – the speed challenge. 🙂

  5. Wow! Two intricate die cuts in under ten minutes! That’s impressive, Gayle! No time for clean as you go on this one! You did a beautiful job! Thanks for getting your adrenaline pumping with us at As You See It Challenges.
