Stencil Fun

Hi everyone! It has been an ‘age’ since I was here. I have to say a huge ‘thank you’ to Bonnie for these wonderful stencils! I finally got to play with them yesterday and here are my results. For the first one, I used Gina K In the Navy cardstock mounted on a white card base. I used Gina K white Glitz Glitter Gel (made a bit of a mess in places – but figured that adds to the individuality of the card) The sentiment is from Mama Elephant Joy Ornaments. The small snowflake is heat embossed on Lawn Fawn Pearlescent Vellum and the letters are cut from some glitter cs from my stash. I cut 3 black letters and mounted the glitter cs on top. The final touch was some gems from Pink Fresh Studio. The photo doesn’t do the glitter justice – it is very sparkly IRL.

For the second one, I chose not to use conventional Christmas colours. I sponged the stencil with twisted citron Distress Oxide ink, heat set the American Crafts Sing! ep (Leaf) and mounted the In the Navy piece on Gina K Jelly Bean Green cs. Added some green gems from Pink Fresh Studio and spritzed the whole thing with Imagine Crafts Sheer Shimmer Spritz (frost). Another one that is more sparkly IRL. Very happy with the results on both cards! Thanks for looking! Hugs!!

  1. These are gorgeous and I like the background on the 2nd one as it reminds me of the northern lights. You did a wonderful job with the glitter and I know how much it sparkles in RL.

  2. YAY, Jan, such wonderful cards. The stenciled backgrounds are amazing. The JOY die is perfect for your top stencil and love your colors and sparkle on your second.
