You’re So Tweet!

My card is for the As You See It Challenge. It is a color challenge of Blueberry Bushel, Granny Apple Green, and Pineapple Punch all SU colors.

The colors reminded me of a tropical place, so I used the Toucan Do It set by Catherine Pooler Designs with these cute tropical birds. I stamped my images on Gina K Designs Artist’s Choice cardstock with Versamark Black Onyx ink, then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Each image was colored with the SU markers that matched the challenge color list and I added Tombow orange colored markers for the beaks and flowers. The gems are from The Paper Studio and a Crafter’s Companion Sparkle pen was used to add a bit of sparkle to the leaves and flowers.

I enjoyed this challenge using product that I owned.

    1. Thank you! This was fun. I was using new product with Catherine Pooler’s set, paper I forgot about, and markers that are juicy and easy to color with. Loved making this card!

  1. You are so right that these colours suit the tropical birds. They’re delightful! Love the way you’ve created little cut outs for them to sit on, like their own perches. Thank you for joining in with us again at As You See It Challenge.

  2. Lisa, this is awesome. Love the birds. They have so much character. The challenge color design shows on the challenge post instead of your card….just an FYI.

      1. I believe when you add to their link if you have more than one photo on you post you need to check the one you want to appear. You may be able to change it by going back to the post and right click to edit the post and then add the correct one. The link does take you to your blog since I saw a response by JanClothier from the challenge.

  3. Lisa, this is a pretty ‘tweet’ card! Love your little birds and their portholes to perch in! The colouring is expertly done and I love all the white space for this striking CAS design! Thanks for joining us at As You See It Challenges!
