Today’s card is for our youngest great-granddaughter. I found the pp online. Number, balloons and candles are all from the Silhouette. Balloons and flames have Wink Of Stella on them, number was run through the Cuttlebug Tiny Bubbles ef. For a little added texture to the candles I scored diagonal lines on them. I’m entering this in Double D challenge, anything birthday related.
Thanks for stopping by your visits mean a lot to me. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.
Today’s card is for my b-i-l. Pp and sentiment were found online. Sentiment circles are Stitched Circles from Die-namics, center strips were cut on my paper trimmer. Small half circles were punched from embossed cs with small hand punches. When hubby saw it he thought that was pretty cool to spell out his name. When I first finished it I didn’t realize that’s what it looks like. I just thought it was his initials on each side of the circle. I’m entering this the Colorful Options challenge.

I created a card this week for someone turning a large number. She likes large cards with bright colors. This card has been mailed and it meets the Double D Challenge for birthday cards.
I used Hobby Lobby papers for this card, except for the white, which is SU. The greeting came from a Paper Pumpkin kit, several years ago. The dies used are Sizzix 5 X 7 Flip-It Framelits designed by Stephanie Bernard.
I enjoy using the Flip-it dies as each card is different. I used twine from my stash.
Thanks for sharing in my card. Our weather has turned back to January cold. I will continue to be creating in my craft room and staying inside.
And my final Create in Quads Snowflakes stencil quad creates a diagonal group of snowflakes. I added a white shimmery die cut snowflake to my card as well as Catherine Pooler Stamp of Approval Candy Cane Lane stamp and die set to my card. The sentiment was a freebie from Taylored Expressions and was white heat embossed on red shimmer cardstock.
It’s a lot of fun to use these Create in Quads layering stencils. With all of the red and white stripes on this mood board of course I needed add a candy cane. There is one candy cane left in the house and I have claimed it as mine!!
Thanks so much for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and stay safe.
January Stencil Fun challenge is to use a stencil with an optional Winter theme. Continuing with my Taylored Expressions Create in Quads Snowflake stencils, I decided on the quad that stencils the top and bottom sections of the cardstock and added this Penny Black Wintertime Wishes word die.
And of course while I was making and you get four sections from the Create in Quads layering stencils, I chose this large image snowflake to add this cute deer image from Gina K Designs Christmas Wishes stamp and die set. Sentiment is from the same set.
It’s always fun to play along with the Stencil Fun challenges. Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and stay safe.
The January Anything Goes Winter Challenge with The Four Seasons has a really fun mood board for inspiration. I focused on the red mittens. My background was made with Taylored Expressions Create in Quads Snowflake stencils. These are four full size layering stencils that create four backgrounds. This part of the quad gives you an overall snowflake backround to which I punched a scallop and circle shape then stamped with Gina K Designs sentiment from Snow Much Fun and the mittens are also GKD’s Christmas Wishes stamp and die set.
Thanks so much for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time.
It was a fun mood board to use as inspiration from the Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge for January and appropriate for winter. It does at times snow on Halloween in Pennsylvania. So for my card I wanted to create a snowy background. I started with a teal piece of patterened paper with stars on it, then using the Tim Holts Moon Mask stencil I attempted to stencil the moon in first white pigment ink and then finally versamark ink and clear heat embossed. I then inked Tim Holtz Distress Oxide ink in chipped sapphire, a swipe of seedless preserves and finally black onyx over the patterned paper and while covering the moon with the solid moon mask. Next came SimonSaysStamp Snowflake banks stencil which includes snow banks and snow flakes. These were inked with Gina K Designs ivory pigment ink. Batty Newton from Newton’s Nook was stamped, die cut and popped up flying to the snowy moon to finish my card.

Today’s card is dear old sister’s first chuckle of the month for 2023. It’s a mini slimline. Background border, image and sentiment were all found online. Sentiment, “I don’t call them New Year’s Resolutions, I prefer the term: Casual promises to myself that I’m under no legal obligation to fulfill.” This is one of the easiest cards I’ve ever made. d-o-s loved it.
Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate your visits. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.
Basic black is the color challenge this month with Colorful Option with neutrals permissible. Although you always have a choice to use rainbow, I opted for the basic black and decided to make 4 cards using Taylored Expressings Creat in Quads Hexagon layering stencils. For my first card, I used several inks ranging from light grey to black and then blended some Tim Holtz black soot around the edges and lightly in the middle. In an effort to highlight the hexagon images, I used my Sakura clear gel pen to add some shine. After disecting the SimonSaysStamp die I mounted the happy and added a sentiment strip and a few sequins.
The second image of the Create in Quads background includes the rest of the disected die sentiment from the first card, sentiment word strip, Taylored Expressions Frame in Frame 3 Cuting plate.
Next up is the third background, SSS painted hugs die cut on fun foam mounted on a vellum circle, Gina K Designs sunshine stencil with ink left on my brush, Spellbinders Hemstitch frame and a few black stars sequins.
And finally, the last hexagon background was the base for my Picket Fence Studio Lavender Frame coverplate die. I can see myself using this die over and over. The create in quads stencils are fun to use and you receive 4 different backgrounds.
Sorry for the long post today but I when you make one basic black card I might as well make four. Above is the Colorful Options mood board for this month’s challenge.
