Hello and welcome. That time again, DOS chuckle of the month. Ef used is Zig Zag by Stampin Up, circle is Spellbinders classic circles, ovals are Stampin Up punches. After finding the sentiment online I searched for just the right clip art image. Inside says “I feel 10 years older already.” Dear-old-sister liked it.
Thanks for stopping by your visits are very important to me. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.
Hello and welcome. Lately I’ve had an itch to create a card with yellow tulips then I spotted this lattice cut card on my desk and a lightbulb went off. Sentiment is from Gina K’s Dazzling Dahlias stamp set, tulip border was created with Martha Stewart’s Grass border punch and a small tulip hand punch I’ve had forever. After punching both yellow and green tulips I cut the green stems and adhered them to the yellow stems. I hadn’t thought of embossing the lattice part till after the border was on but it worked just fine. For that I used a Cuttlebug Woody ef. This will be entered in two challenges.
After reminiscing earlier this week when we celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary, I wanted to use the new Taylored Expressions Daisy Dreams stamp, stencil and die set. To continue on the daisy theme, I embossed my Lemon Drop GKD cardstock with the SimonSaysStamp Floral Field 3D embossing folder. This TE set may be my new favorite thing.
I was looking in my stash for a bird stamp set and my mind went on the hunt for one that’s a little wonky and fun. These three birds reminded me of the birds on a beach. So after coloring in my very colorful Inkadinkadoo birds stamps, I added a sand line and some clouds in the sky. The sentiment is from Hero Arts Colorful Layering Waves as is the Beach Fancy Frame. I did a little surgery on the die by cutting out the bottom portion and then adding the larger pieces to the card front.
The Most Recent Addition to my Stash is Stampin’ Up Eclectic Garden.
This set is a 2-step stamp set, so I can stamp the outline image in black ink and stamp color with other stamps in the set. I saw this on Pinterest so I used her layout and directions. It is helping me really learn the set. The bird is stamped in Bermuda Bay and the leaves in Pear Pizazz. I used Gina K Designs Black Onyx for the bird stamp and the greeting. The black gems are Nuvo drops; they are also new. The white paper is SU and the Black and card base are My Favorite Things cardstock.
I purchased this set when the SU Annual Catalog was retiring and many items were discounted. The price was very reduced and I really liked the bird, so I purchased it. The other images are a radish, a beet, and an artichoke. There are other greetings as well. I think I will enjoy using this set.
Hello and welcome. Again, my background paper was found online. Silhouette images are from the Silhouette, ghosts are from a very old Provo Craft metal multi-images die. After getting the Silhouette images sized right it was fairly easy to make. This will be entered in 3 Halloween challenges.
The May mood board for the Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge inspired me to find my Gina K Designs Wreath Builder stencil and make some happy rainbow pumpkins. The stamps are from SimonSaysStamp’s “Boo Day” stamp set. Colored in my pumpkins and suckers with marker, added a layered circle for the sentiment and some patterened paper from my stash. This card style allows a square image without being a square card….so it works well for me and the US post office.
I swap cards with a fellow crafter who is a mother, so I decided to send her a Mother’s Day Card for this week’s swap.
I used a stamp set from Unity designed by Gina K Designs, called Another Name for Love. I colored the flower using Gamsol and Prismacolor Pencils. I added sparkle with a Crafter’s Companion Clear Sparkle Pen. I may have went a bit overboard on the gems, but once they are down, they stay put. I used the Subtle Textured Embossing Folder on the white frame.
This card is in my mail. I hope she enjoys it. With both Mother’s passed away, I found joy creating a card for someone else using my Mother’s Day stamps. I have several. Maybe my daughters will find them useful.
What’s new to me is a Taylored Expressions Ever in Bloom Create-In-Quads layering stencils and dies! With this new create in quads stencil, I achieved four card flower backgrounds which were inked in two different blue inks and added a sentiment that will be sent to my daughter and daughter-in-law for Mother’s Day this year.
Wow! One stencil, four cards and now I can share with 4 different challenges and they are:
