Lemon Squeeze

A nice tall glass of lemonade on a warm day sounds wonderful to me. Actually mostly anything lemony works too!! For my card today, I am using the Taylored Expressions Squeeze The Day Layering Stencil and clear stamp combo, Gina K Designs You’re the Sweetest stamp set for my slice and DMD Happy Hour stamp set probably from Michael’s that was in my stash. Stenciled, colored, added a little wink of stella and have an extra panel left over from by 6×6″ stencil for another card.

I will be sharing my card today with:

Double D Challenges: Lemon-Ade; The Color Yellow Challenge

What a fun and lemony yellow mood board for this challenge.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care, be safe and stay cool!

Enjoy the Lemonade

I created this card when I was on the design team for Splitcoast Stampers but never used it or posted it anywhere. It fits the Double D Challenge for Lemon-Ade so I will share it now.

I used Simple Stories Vintage Lemon Twist patterned paper for the background. I used Power Poppy Tea in the Garden stamp set for the focal image and greeting. I used Doily 1 die from The Stamps of Life with Sea Glass Cardstock for the scallops around the lemonade. Inks used are Slate for the greeting and Memento Tuxedo Black for the image that I colored with alcohol markers. This is a 5 X 7 card.

I really like this pack of patterned paper. I have the accompanying stamp set by Simon Says Stamp, now, so I will hopefully create a few cards using these products. I never posted this card because my daughter, who was helping me with photos, said it didn’t really fit the theme I was creating for. I like the card so am thrilled to have an excuse to share it.

November Nuptials

My card today is for a young couple that are getting married this November. I’m usually not that far ahead with my occasion cards but the wedding theme challenge with Can You Handle the Pressure worked perfectly for me.

My card uses a SimonSaysStamp Circle Rings 3D embossing folder which is the main requirement with CYHTP blog challenge. I don’t have a lot of wedding stamps but the Gina K Designs Always and Forever stamp is a lovely silhouette stamp and simple sentiment in a beautiful script which are my go to wedding stamps. The white shimmer panel was embossed, the image stamped, heat embossed in clear embossing powder and cut using Spellbinder’s classic oval & scallop oval dies. To add a little color to my card, I found the Gina K Designs Watercolor Floral ephemera pack and patterned paper for inside the card with the sentiment stamped on a heart die cut.

My card will be shared with:

Adventure Time

It’s the As You Can See It challenge blog’s 300th challenge and their challenge is to share an Adventure: Travel, Extreme Sports, Exploration, Daring. Well nothing can be more daring than chaperoning Kindergartners to a circus inside a college field house! Of course, 6 year olds always need to use the bathroom too. We were in line for the bathroom when the elephants were coming into the building. We had to squeeze against the wall and the elephants were so big they had to crawl under the doors. I’m not a fan of the circus and only hope that the animals are treated humanely but it was an awesome site to see.

Back to my card which uses Hero Arts Leaves & Vines Fancy die, My Monthly Hero stamp & die set, and some lightly inke clouds for my background using Pretty Pink Posh Layered Clouds Stencil.

Congratulations on the 300th blog challenge and my card will be shared with

The skies are clear again in Pennsylvania. And by the way, my elephant adventure was 40 years ago!!! LOL!

Sweet Treats

I love the Retro Rubber Challenge as it helps me use the many stamps in my craft room. This month’s is a fun one with many bright colors.

I began working on these treats the minute I saw the challenge. This challenge is all about color. I had to use three of the five colors listed: yellow, pink/red, orange, green, brown. I used all five of the colors with these wonderful treats. The stamp set I used is Avery Elle Sweet Treats, 2018. I stamped these on watercolor paper, then added the colors using various dye inks and water. I added the basket weave as it was already embossed, sitting in my stash. It is crumb cake cardstock by Stampin Up and the embossing folder is a retired, SU folder. The yellow cardstock and the strip of patterned paper are Paper Studio, all sitting waiting to be used.

I think I am ready for a bit of that ice cream.

Butterfly Trio

I created cards recently that fit the Triple B June challenge.

The butterflies were created using Gina K Designs Fluttering Fall Layering Stencil bundle. I made these several months ago and had them waiting to be used. The embossing folders are Simon Says Stamp and Stampin Up. The greeting is from SU Go-To Greetings set. I used a layout from the Featured Stamper on Splitcoast Stampers.

I like the simple look of these cards. The hardest part was finding the cardstock colors that matched the ink I used in the butterflies.

Thanks for coming by and looking at my cards. It is a beautiful day today as we have sunshine.

Graduation Day

Before we can officially begin summer, although the temps in Pennsylvania this past week have definitely been summer-like, we need to say good-bye to school and celebrate those graduations!

My card today is for a dear young man who is graduating from high school and before summer’s end will be in Air Force bootcamp. My card used Taylored Expressions products.

We are celebrating with a combination graduation/farewell party this Sunday so of course he needs an additional card. Blue and Silver are Air Force colors and my tag was cut from Simon Says Stamp die and the other decorations are ephemera from my local craft store. I’m hoping his mom and grandmother don’t start crying when then see this one.

And last but not least a Pre-K graduation card for our youngest granddaughter. A little bit of this and a little bit of that. The owl is from a Gina K stamp set that escapes my mind and the banner is a Hero Arts, and somewhere in my many piles is the name of the apple die! The 2023 was Taylored Expressions precut.

So now that school is out for summer, I am sharing my graduation card with:

The Four Seasons Challenge June Anything Goes Summer Challenge.

Fright Night

Last month’s Halloween card project was a rainbow of pumpkins but this month it’s back to a more traditional Halloween fright night card. I started with some Brutus Monroe Color Burst powders sprayed with some water, added more powders, sprayed with water until I told myself to walk away. Today, I cut a circle mask and blended with a combination of Distress Oxide Inks, removed the outer mask and put the circle mask in place to add inks to the outer edges as well as some black soot. The tree and the border are the same stamp set from Gina K Designs’ The Giving Tree. Sentiment is from an old dollar bin stamp set from my stash. I added a little green layer behind the focal panel that was sprayed with some Distress Mica Stain.

Today’s card will be shared with multiple Halloween challenges:

trellis birthday

Hello and welcome. Lattice cards have become one of my favorites to make and this one is for my niece. I usually make kind of a snarky card for her but all I did this year was to show her age.

Pp is from a pad bought at Joanne’s. Numbers are from an old Sizzix Sizzlet set, double cut then I added some Wink of Stella. Candles were cut on the Silhouette, and I used yellow Stickles on the flames. Embossing folder used is from Sizzix (sorry I don’t know the name). I also added a piece of pp to the inside behind the lattice part.

Thanks for stopping by your visits mean a lot to me. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.
