Mother’s Day card for Friend

I swap cards with a fellow crafter who is a mother, so I decided to send her a Mother’s Day Card for this week’s swap.

I used a stamp set from Unity designed by Gina K Designs, called Another Name for Love. I colored the flower using Gamsol and Prismacolor Pencils. I added sparkle with a Crafter’s Companion Clear Sparkle Pen. I may have went a bit overboard on the gems, but once they are down, they stay put. I used the Subtle Textured Embossing Folder on the white frame.

This will be entered in the following challenges:

This card is in my mail. I hope she enjoys it. With both Mother’s passed away, I found joy creating a card for someone else using my Mother’s Day stamps. I have several. Maybe my daughters will find them useful.

    1. Thank you! I colored several of these flowers earlier in the year then put them away. It was nice to have a pretty flower ready to go. I just added the greeting and turned it into a card.

    1. Thank you! I colored several but the other ones have smudges of some sort. I need to use the sand eraser.

  1. This is beautiful and so thoughtful to help other mom’s celebrate Mother’s Day. The colors you chose are soft with some sparkle. Your coloring is awesome, too.

    1. Thanks! It was a great excuse to use those stamp sets. I have a lot of Mother’s Day sets and they do not get used, but I am not ready to part with them.

  2. My first thoughts when I saw this were just what Gayle said, beautiful and thoughtful. Your coloring is amazing.

    1. Thank you! I keep finding more challenges for this card. I have added 2 in the last few minutes. I did have fun coloring this flower. I watched Gina K while coloring.

    1. Thank you! I kept finding challenges that my card fit. So fun to have the ability to keep adding.

    1. Thank you! I think about Mom a lot at certain times of the year. I want to pick up the phone to call and chat or ask her a question then I remember that I can’t. I think she will enjoy it. If not, I enjoyed making it so it is a win.
