Stack the Holidays

I made a card this week that I can share. It will be entered in the Cardz 4 Galz challenge.

This stamp set is from Your Next Stamp along with the matching die. I used several alcohol markers to color this. The patterned paper is all Stampin Up, very retired. The cardbase is also SU. The sequins are SU from a Paper Pumpkin kit. I believe the stamp set is called Stack the Holidays.

I wish each of you a very Merry Christmas! Thanks for stopping by and seeing my fun card.

December Sugar Skulls

I cannot end the year without playing along with the Two Old Bats monthly challenge. The mood board’s focus is on skulls so I searched the internet for sugar skulls background pattern, then added a clear acetate panel from my local Michaels which also included a skull as well as a SimonSaysStamp pre-printed sentiment strip and a few die cuts to complete my card today. I thought it turned out pretty cool, if I must say so myself. HAHAHA!!!

My card will be shared with:

It’s always fun to play along with them and their inspiring mood boards.

aDDICTED TO fRACTURES

I have been enjoying Stamp Buddy Gerry’s Fractured cards over the last few weeks. I found some instructions on Stamping on the Back Porch by Karen Titus. OMG I’m addicted. These are truly quick and easy which is what I needed to finish my Christmas cards. I used Pattern Paper from the 12 Days of Christmas 6×6 pack by G45 and from the Christmas Cheer Mega pack by Carta Bella. I tried to match the colors from the PP to colors I had on hand. The sentiment on the focal square is from Noelle Mouse (retired GKD). I cut it apart so it would fit at the bottom of the diamond. The gingerbread boy is from the same set colored with Copic YR24.  The other small images are from the Christmas Icons set from Sunny Studios colored with Copics. The ones below are just a few of the ones I created yesterday.

unusual christmas card

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our bonus great-grandson. He just turned 4 and is big time into garbage and recycling trucks. You can find anything online, so I Googled Christmas garbage truck clip art. I brought this image into my Hallmark card program, added the sentiment and his name, printed and fussy cut it. It’s popped up. Pp is another one I found online. Usually, I leave a small border around the background paper but not this time.

Thanks for stopping by your visits mean a lot to me. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Holly

In my rush to finish my Christmas cards, I found two images of the large Holly spring by Technique Tuesday already colored and die cut.  Copics used G09, G14, R89, R27, E57. I cut strips of plaid PP from Tartan PP pad by Crafters Consortium. The Christmas Pine card front was embossed with the Forevergreen EF by Spellbinders. The sentiment is from Blizzard by GKD stamped in Cherry Red and cut with the matching die.  I’m going to enter this in Can You Handle the Pressure? – Anything Goes with a Twist of Holly. Thanks for looking at my card.

fractured christmas 2

Hello and welcome. Since the first fractured Christmas card turned out ok, I decided to make a landscape one. I really like this pp I found online. Triangle shape was fussy cut, and the bulbs are computer clip art. It’s probably a strange design for a Christmas card but I’m kind of strange so it’s ok. We’ll give this one to our mail carrier.

Tweet Wishes

Taking inspiration from our Buddy Bonnie and her use of vines/greenery, I stamped my “pine tree” branches on the top portion of my focal panel by layering and overlapping and stamping off at times the same image, then added my “B” bird and sentiment all from Inkadinkadoo “Cool Christmas” stamp set. Making my own Triple B’s of black, branches and bird for my card today and I think it’s one of my favorites of the season.

My card today will be shared with

I did use the December mood board for inspiration with the black and white theme for my card.

Holly & Bright

A little holly & berries and patterned paper, embossing folder and die cuts for my card today.

An oldie but goodie Sizzix embossing folder on white shimmer cardstock, Taylored Expressions easy strips pattern die, Tim Holtz Sizzix large Funky Festive dies, and a patterned paper pack sentiment were used on my card today. Although the sentiment had holly & berries, I cut and colored the Tim Holtz Funky Festive die and popped on top. To add a little more color decided to on the easy strips from TE.

Snowy Kisses

Penny Black’s Mimi is one of my favorite images, easy to color and always sweet! I think I use this one every year so I may have to shop for another Christmas Mimi! Also included on my card is Taylored Expressions Birch Tree Border die, Twinkle Twinkle background stamp stamped in versamark ink, sentiment, Poppy Stamps Stitched Hills dies and some Dr PH Martin’s white for splatter/spatter. After lightly inking the background in blues that remained on my blending brushes, I added the birch tree die cuts and some snow hills. I covered up the hills overlap with my sentiment.

I’ll be sharing my card today with:
