Poster Board Christmas

Closed and opened card. Not sure why this Gina K Designs stamp set ( an oldie) was named Poster Board Christmas but I decided to keep the name. I originally stamped the two part wreath and used a square die and scalloped square for the image but it was quite large so found a circle die that fit pretty perfectly and decided to go with it. My patterned paper was from a Simon Says Stamp kit and although I have tons of patterned paper, I copied the original and used the copy. Since the sentiment is on the outside and the patterned paper is light enough to write the inside message, it was just calling out for something else so I added Santa and his reindeer and feel there is still room for an inside message.

Silver and Gold Snowflakes

It would be nice to have some silver and gold snowflakes as long as they don’t have to be shoveled, wouldn’t it!

For my card today, I am playing along in a color challenge of silver and gold. After foiling some Gina K Designs foil on toner paper, I die cut some snow flakes and a sentiment from Honey Bee as well as using a Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder on black shimmer cardstock. If that wasn’t enough shine an additional spray of perfect pearls completed today’s card.

I’ll be sharing my card with:

Fun challenge and maybe I should have been more inspired by their mood board????

masculine birthday

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our grandson. I think it’s kind of unfair having a birthday so close to Christmas.

Black background was embossed with a Culltlebug circles ef. Circle dies are stitched circles by Die-namics, sentiment was printed on the computer. I’m kind of partial to having a spot of red with black and white cards. Good thing this was quick to make because I woke up during the night and realized I hadn’t made his card yet and his birthday is the 18th. Hopefully it will get to MN by then. It’s in the mail.

fractured christmas

Hello and welcome. Oh yeah, I’m still working on Christmas cards.

This was very quick and easy. I recently found this pp online and thought it would work well for the fractured technique. However, I used the easy way out. I mounted the sentiment diamond on a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of the pp then added the strips and mounted on the card base. Sentiment was printed in my Hallmark card program, and I added computer clip art ornaments that kind of matched the paper.

CHRISTMAS HOLLY

Hello and welcome. Today’s card was fairly easy. Embossing folder is by The Paper Studio, scalloped oval is Spellbinders, center oval is Stitched Ovals by Die-namics. Image is from an online coloring page colored with Copic’s, sentiment is a no name die cut from glitter paper. Edge of scalloped oval and ribbon have clear Wink of Stella and berries have Glossy Accents for a little shine.

red foil christmas

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is one of those that looks much better in real life. Foil just doesn’t photograph well, at least for me. Embossing folder is Snowflakes by The Paper Studio, die is Framelits Holiday Ornaments by Stampin Up, ribbon is from my stash. Ornament was cut from Toner paper then foiled with the Mini Minc. Sentiment is a no name die cut from red glitter paper.

Cable Knit

Using My Favorite Things Cable Knit stencil and Gina K Designs Christmas Pine ink, I inked my focal panel and inked the layering panel in the same color ink. Adding a silver embossed sentiment from Gina K’s Holly Jolly stamp set, a ribbon from my stash and Spellbinder’s oval nestabilities die completes this card today.

Autumn Birthday

I am guest designing for the Seize the Birthday challenge. I feel honored to be asked.

I used the following items on this card: Stitched and Postage dies are from Catherine Pooler, the main image is from Your Next Stamp Sweater Weather, the greeting is from Stampin Up Paper Pumpkin, and the inks are Gina K Designs Ocean Mist, Warm Cocoa, and Lawn Fawn Celery. I sprayed Gold Shimmer spray on the background. I used alcohol markers for the images.
