Cable Knit

Using My Favorite Things Cable Knit stencil and Gina K Designs Christmas Pine ink, I inked my focal panel and inked the layering panel in the same color ink. Adding a silver embossed sentiment from Gina K’s Holly Jolly stamp set, a ribbon from my stash and Spellbinder’s oval nestabilities die completes this card today.

My card will be shared with:

Autumn Birthday

I am guest designing for the Seize the Birthday challenge. I feel honored to be asked.

I used the following items on this card: Stitched and Postage dies are from Catherine Pooler, the main image is from Your Next Stamp Sweater Weather, the greeting is from Stampin Up Paper Pumpkin, and the inks are Gina K Designs Ocean Mist, Warm Cocoa, and Lawn Fawn Celery. I sprayed Gold Shimmer spray on the background. I used alcohol markers for the images.

blue christmas

Hello and welcome. Well, I tried to avoid fractured cards for Christmas, but I just couldn’t do it.

Background paper was found on Pinterest. Square border is computer clip art and I added the sentiment. This is the first time I looked for background paper on Pinterest, I usually find it on Google. Now I have another source.

Thanks for stopping by your visits are very much appreciated. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe. And a very Happy Thanksgiving to you.

merry christmas

Hello and welcome. Making a little progress toward my Dec. 1 deadline.

Embossing folder is Holly by The Paper Studio, pp is Carta Bella found online, sentiment oval is computer clip art, dies used are Stitched Ovals by Die-namics. Ovals are popped up. Even though I feel I’m cheating, I think using the computer is a good alternative since my hands just don’t co-operate with stamping and coloring.

square diamond

Hello and welcome. Finally, last Thanksgiving card for 2023. Patterned paper, image and sentiment were found online. Inside says “But what is the turkey Thankful for.” Dies used are Stitched Squares by Die-namics. I didn’t really want to just back the squares so I layed the background square as a diamond and I liked the look. I hope you do too.

Candy Cane Stripes

This may be my beginning of my Christmas cards. Yikes, I’m so far behind but it will be ok. I think I work better under pressure, anyway. So for my card today, the Double D challenge is stripes and/or dots. My striped background was made using Taylored Expressions Easy Strips Maps, green and shimmer white cardstock cut into 1/2 inch strips, Catherine Pooler’s Stamp of Approval Candy Cane Lane stamp and die set, and Spellbinder’s Christmas Blooms dies.

Double D Challenges: Stripes and/or Dots Challenge

Fun mood board but opted to go with Christmas for the above stated reasons. LOL!! Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and be safe.

Spell

No we didn’t fall back to Halloween I’m just playing along with the November 2023 Two Old Bats Halloween challenge with my card today. Keeping it simple and trying to use some of the patterned paper in my growing stash, I just added a stamped and die cut spider from a Tim Holtz set and some white lines sentiment.

I was inspired by the black and white on this month’s mood board.

Color Challenge Cards

I am sharing my color challenge cards for Splitcoast Stampers.

I created this card last week and posted it on November 9. The colors are Granny Apple Green, Polished Pink, and Balmy Blue. The dessert is to add anything else and I chose Yellow. I used the Stampin Up Pierced Bloom dies for the flowers and leaves and used Positive Thoughts and matching dies for the greeting and the butterfly. This went to a woman needing encouragement. This card won an award as the Color Challenge Favorite. I have won this one other time, so I was surprised to see the post.

Each Tuesday there is a new color challenge. I finished a card today for this week’s challenge.

This week’s colors are Pecan Pie, Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, and Poppy Parade. The dessert is to add any color you like. There is another challenge on Tuesday called Teapot Tuesday. It is usually to send a card to someone who had a loss, a special birthday, or need encouragement. This week’s person is for encouragement. They asked for the acronym CARE, using each letter to mean something on the card. I chose C = Circle, A = Aviary, R = Ribbon, and E = Embossing. I struggled with making up my mind, but liked the final card.

Thank you for sharing in my cards. I try each week to work on these challenges, as long as I have the matching colors or a close-enough match.
