A celebration is not complete without party balloons. These balloons were die cut using Lawn Fawn Party Balloons dies and an assortment of cardstock scraps. The greeting is from Lawn Fawn Wavy Sayings along with a matching die. I made a frame using The Stamps of Life Stitched Rectangles. I added a bit of twine to each balloon from my twine stash from SU Paper Pumpkin kits. A bit of sparkle was added to each balloon. The star background is from a retired MFT birthday paper pack. I know whoever receives this card will love the sparkle and enjoy the party atmosphere.

Money Pad & Gift Box

Our two older grandchildren received money notepads in their stockings. This was such a clever and easy idea that I found on Pinterest. Some dollar bills of any denominaton, a piece of heavy cardstock for a backing, and a couple of binder clips and padding compound. After brushing on the padding compound and letting it dry, I added a cover and made an envelope. The bills peel out of the notepad very easily. I did have to tell Chase and Brooke that it was actually real money. LOL.

The older “kid” received this gift box card with their cash inside. Also thanks to Pinterest and on line directions to create this clever presentation. Unfortunately, I forgot to note the site I found this idea.

And last but not least, my husband’s card featuring his 1964 GTO.

I printed a copy of a photo for the card and fussy cut it, mounting it on a SSS Detail Pincushion die plate that was ink blended in blues and some black around the edges. Addes some snowflakes from SSS Sensational Snowflakes die, computer generated sentiment. Will loved it! Even posted it on his FB page….LOL.

Peace On Earth Christmas Challenge #6

My card reminds me of the inspiration photo for the Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge #6 Anything Christmas.

A lot of traditional red and green on this card which uses the Taylored Expressions Create-in-Quads Misteltoe stencil. A great concept which allows you to create 4 card fronts on a 8×10-1/2 piece of cardstock. After stenciling each of the four layers just cut the cardstock in half at 4 and 5-1/4. Sentiment was from SSS Peaceful Christmas stamp set.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. Hope your Christmas was special.

RED AND GREEN

I needed one more Christmas card for a very dear friend that I thought I’d lost track of until I got a card from her. The green panel was already embossed with the Darice Holly Vines EF. I used a thin white mat on a red card base. The sentiment is from Sunny Studio Seasons Greetings set cut with the matching die was left over from a mass produced card, so this came together pretty quickly. I don’t think she’ll get it in time for Christmas since it’s got to be forwarded to her snowbird address, but she’ll know I was thinking of her. I thought this would be perfect for the Color Hues Red and Green Challenge.

Speedy White Snowflakes

My mini slimline card was made to play along with three different challenges:

AAA Cards Game: #205 – Christmas + optional twist slimline

As You See It Challenge: Challenge #265 – Speedy Snowflakes

Double D Challenges: Lots of White

My mini slimline to meet the requirements of the AAA Cards should also meet the CAS requirements with the embossing and a few extra snowflakes….looks like lots of white space to me.

For the As You See It speed challenge, after deciding on a design start to finish the card was completed in 6 minutes 53 seconds.

Double D Challenges is looking for Lots of White and I think this card except for the sentiment has given me a whiteout.

The embossed panel was made with Darice embossing folder, sentiment is SSS Snowflake Season January 2020 card kit and the snowflakes die cut on white glitter paper are also from SSS amnd the Sensational Snowflakes die.

Fun card to make. Thanks for stopping in for a peek. Take card and be safe.

MSC snowflake wreath

Combining several challenges with this card. The Make the Cards Challenge #44 is to make a winter themed card, while ModSquad Challenge is only snowflakes. My card is square for the MISTI challenge at SplitCoast Stampers. So fun when one card meets several challenges.

I used snowflakes from the Joy of the Season set which was a collaboration between Simon Says Stamp and Gina K Designs for Stamptember 2018. I purchased it used, but it was never inked. I saw an idea from Laura Bassen where she made a rainbow wreath and I love her creations, so I CASED her card. The greeting is from the Holiday Wreath Builder stamp set from Gina K Designs. I used the wreath builder stencil to stamp the wreath. I added dots to the center of each snowflake with Nuvo Drops.

Up Up & Away

Peace On Earth Challenge #5

Today’s card is a mini slimline with a very colorful sky and actually a little stormy looking in spots; but, thankfully Santa made it through the stormy sections, over the roof tops and trees in his journey around the world to deliver presents.

Distress ink was used for my background and the stamps were both from Taylored Expressions exclusive free with purchase stamp and Santa and his reindeer were also free from TE.

This card will be included in the Peace On Earth Challenge #5, Anything Christmas with taking some inspiration from the mood board for the challenge and the bottom left depicting Santa’s ride in much calmer skies.

Frosty Tag

The Sisterhood of Crafters: Holiday Gift Tags

Normally, I am so pressed with time getting all of my Christmas cards completed and in the mail that I do not have time for gift tags. Also we don’t do a lot of presents, only for the grandchildren to open, so I was happy that I only need three tags this year. All the grandkids presents are wrapped and then placed in a larger box that is wrapped so that’s the one that will get the gift tag. I think this snowman Spellbinders die layered on a Tim Holtz Sizzix Flurry #2 snowflake die, layered on a Spellbinders circle nestability die will get attached to Brooke’s box.

This tag project will be entered into The Sisterhood of Crafters — Holiday Gift Tag challenge.

Thirty-One

Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge: December

I just had to play along with the December Anything Halloween challenge with the Two Old Bats. Always a fun mood board posted for inspiration and for my card I decided to work off the 31 and the wonky cat. My background patterned paper is DCWV The Bewitched matstack and I didn’t have to look too far for a wonky cat as long as I have Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits dies. This TH set is called Toil & Trouble and really has fun die cuts. I layered kitty and offset with a white die cut to give a little dimension. My frame is a new to me Spellbinders Hemstitch Rectangle die set. No stamping needed with that awesome background.
