Gorgeous Green! is the color challenge for the Colorful Options blog this month and what a lovely color it is. After watching Nichol Spohr’s post today of her alcohol ink background for the new Hero Arts add on stamps, I decided to use that technique for my gorgeous green card.
Using alcohol inks in envy, laguna and snow cap mixative on glossy photo paper, my background came together pretty nicely in my opinion. These techniques are usually a stretch for me but I did make a few backgrounds with my alcohol inks. Hardest part is waiting for the inks to dry. I carefully stamped my sentiments, one at a time, in versafine black onxy and then heat set with clear embossing powder. Hello is from a Gina K Designs set and the other is a miscellaneous dollar stamp. The jig is being performed by Tutti Designs “Playful Leprechauns” die which was cut three times, layered and off set. A shiny little shamrock embellishment completes my card today.
A fun mood board for inspiration but I opted to be inspired by the colors only.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and be safe.
Very cute!
Your background looks very nice. I see movement in your color. Fun card with the leprechauns.
All that motion with the inks then offset with those green guys in such fun shadows. Just perfection.
Oh my this is a delight to the eye. Those greens and the little leprechauns are just perfect. I love how you got the shine and shadow to them. The edges just glow and you could use this technique on a Halloween card too.
Thanks, Johanna, thanks for the tip.
Gayle, this card is fantastic. Love your alcohol ink background and those fun leprechauns. Love the slight offset of them with color as it gives them both depth and apparent movement. Glad you had fun with the technique.
Super card. Love the dancing leprechauns against the great green background
Oh Gayle this is awesome! That background is fabulous and love these little dancing leprechauns! Well done! Thanks so much for playing in our challenge at Colorful Options!
