Par-tee time

Hello and welcome. I wanted to make a golf card so I searched Pinterest for ideas. The sentiment was printed on the computer and the golf balls are clip art. Corner balls that say ‘PAR-TEE time’ were hand punched and backed with a black circle. Die used is Stitched Squares by Die-namics. I wanted to add a little texture but the square shape didn’t fit any of my ef,. so using the Stampin Up’s score buddy, I hand scored it. If you really look at it, you’ll see plenty places where the stylus slipped. lol

Happy 70th

Hello and welcome. No more Easter cards this year. I always enjoy making milestone birthday cards with the age very prominent. Papers are The Paper Studio. Number was cut from glitter paper on the Silhouette. Sentiment was printed on the computer. Very easy peasy.

Crooked Eye Bunny

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our 3-year-old great-granddaughter.

This isn’t quite what I started out to make. Originally the bunny was going to be in the bottom left corner, but I didn’t die cut the right size circle and I had it all put together before I tried to put it on the paper. Background paper from my stash was just the right size. Dies used are Spellbinders classic circles and Petite ovals. Center of ears was embossed with Stampin Up dots ef. Eyes and heart are small hand punches, cheeks were done with a small cotton ball and pink stamp pad, whiskers are had drawn. Eyes were punched from dark blue, and I added clear Wink of Stella for a little sparkle. Egg stickers are from my stash. Eyes are a little crooked, but Bernie already knows if it’s perfect GGG couldn’t have made it. lol

Flopsy, Mopsy & Cottain Tail

Hello and welcome. For some reason I just had to make a slimline card with 3 circles. Patterned paper was found online. Circles are Spellbinders Classic Circles. Images are from a lawn fawn stamp set that was a challenge prize. Images were stamped on pattern paper fussy cut and popped up. Sentiment was found online, punched with the SU Modern Labels punch. Names were printed on the computer then punched with SU word window punch. Bunnies and sentiment are on white cs that I lightly colored with a cotton ball and Bashful Blue stamp pad. It doesn’t show very well but I scored 1/4 around all edges and added some white fun flock to the cotton tail.

Checked Bunny

Hello and welcome. While perusing Pinterest I came across an Easter card with a yellow checked bunny and thought it was so cute. The one I saw had a small grass border but since I don’t have a grass border stamp I found some grass border clip art on Google. After printing the grass I used Spellbinders Labels Small then with a cotton ball and Bashful Blue stamp pad to lightly add some sky color. Bunny is from a coloring page, fussy cut and popped up. Sentiment is from Stampin Up’s Easter Blossoms stamp set (I’m sure long retired). Going through my Easter stash I found the little chicken stickers and yellow bow. I think some of the stuff in my Easter stash must be 20 years old.

Before You Judge

Hello and welcome. Yep, time again for DOS chuckle card.

Colored cs was dry embossed with a stripe ef by The Paper Studio, image is clip art, sentiment, “Before you judge someone walk a mile in their shoes. After that, who cares? They’re a mile away and you have their shoes.” was found online. Quick, easy and snarky.

Easter Circles

Hello and welcome. It’s time to start my Easter cards.

As usual the pp was found online. It’s unusual for me but I decided to dry emboss the pp. Ef used is Dots from Stampin Up. Bunnies are online clip art, Circles are Spellbinders classic & scalloped circle dies. Sentiment is a no name die I recently bought on Amazon. I double cut the sentiment for more stability then I used Wink of Stella for a little shine.

This will be entered at https://cyhtp.blogspot.com/2024/02/anything-goes-embossing-with-twist-of.html

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate it. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

With Sympathy

Hello and welcome. Sunday night my cousin passed away after years of dementia and other health issues. Today’s card will go to his surviving brother.

Starting out all I had in mind was to use this Tim Holtz die, once I decided on a color combo the rest came easy. Before cutting the die, I backed the cs with double stick paper and embossed it after cutting. The embossing folder I used is Swirls by Cuttlebug. Ovals and flowers are from hand punches, sentiment was printed on the computer.

Luck O’ The Irish

Hello and welcome. After seeing Stamp Buddy Lisa Babitz scrambled box card and what the Double D challenge was I just had to try it. Lisa was so kind to provide the measurements. For the pp I Googled St. Patric’s Day backgrounds and found this one. Card base is white with a green panel then I added the pp to a white piece of cs. Sentiment was printed on the computer. I hope I did justice to Lisa’s design.

I’m so sorry but I was not able to post this on Double D.
