Birthday Buckle

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for one of our favorite servers. I wanted to try something new, so I found several tutorials for the buckle card on Pinterest. Cardstock is Pear Pizzaz, pp from a 6×6 book from Stampin Up. I didn’t really like the stark white panel, so I softened it with a cotton ball and Pear Pizzaz stamp pad. Circle is stitched circles from Die-namics and I embossed it with a Cuttlebug happy birthday ef. Slit is a no name die that was laying on my desk. Inside sentiment was printed on the computer.

Thanksgiving Leaves

Hello and welcome. Today’s card will be entered at https://cyhtp.blogspot.com/2024/08/anything-goes-embossing-with-twist-of.html

Pattern paper was found online. The pp was embossed with a Cuttlebug Leaves ef but it doesn’t really show so I also embossed the leaves. Embossing folder used for the leaves is a no name one from Amazon. Leaf with sentiment was printed on the computer then fussy cut. Small leaves dies are also no name from Amazon.

Corner hearts are a small heart punch also dry embossed. It doesn’t show in the photo, but the center of the large heart is wood grain pp found online. Sentiment was printed on the computer.

Happy 19th Birthday

Hello and welcome. It’s hard to believe we can have a great-grandchild turning 19. Yikes, time goes by fast.

I saw this design on Pinterest and thought I should try it. Card base is 5×5 square. Patterned paper was found online, numbers are from the Silhouette, sentiment was printed on the computer. The numbers looked kind of blah, so I dry embossed them. This was very easy to make.

Thank you

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for the couple that bought our MN house 24 years ago. We have maintained contact with them all these years and on our recent trip to MN they invited us to the house for a wonderful dinner.

Background paper is from my online stash, die cut is Stitched Squares by Die-namics, sentiment was printed on the computer. The pink strips were cut 1/8″ wide and blue strips are 1/4″.

Seeing family was so good. Our 5-year-old great-granddaughter loved pushing me in my wheelchair. Now the bad part of the trip. The first day of our 3-day drive something twisted in my back and was pushing on the sciatic nerve, so I was in pain the whole time we were there. The day after we got home, I saw the doctor and was put on Prednisone and that is helping.

With Sympathy

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for one of our daughter’s best friends whose mom just passed away. Card base is Balmy Blue, pink panel is a scrap piece, pp paper was found online. Die cut is Flourish Thinlits by Stampin Up, sentiment was printed on the computer, gems are from my stash. I’m hoping it will bring some comfort.

Baseball Birthday

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our grandson-in-law. You guessed it, he’s a big MN Twins fan. Background paper was found online, sentiment & clip art were done in my Hallmark card program. Before cutting the strips, I ran the paper through a dots embossing folder for a little texture. This is weird, when I look at the photo the center looks a little off kilter, but it doesn’t in real life. hmmm.

Pinwheel Birthday

Hello and welcome. The pinwheel design has become one of my favorites for masculine cards. Embossing folder used for the background is from Sizzix but unfortunately, I don’t know what it’s called. Patterned paper is Stampin Up. Center circle is hand punched and covered with Glossy Accents. Banners for computer printed sentiment were cut on my paper trimmer.
