Happy Bee-Day Mini Slimline

I watched the Virtual Retreat with Not 2 Shabby recently. With the retreat came a special sheet load of cards sketch by Crafty Al. I made 8 cards with this sketch.

I like to decorate the envelope to match the card, if possible. This time I used the same bee on the envelope that is on the front of the card, as well as the inside. The patterned paper used is Echo Park Bee Happy. I chose SU Crushed Curry for the accent yellow and Accent White for the card base. I used a Lawn Fawn die to cut out the greeting. All stamped images are from an Ellen Hutson set called One in a Buzz-illion.

Thank you for sharing in my card.

    1. Thank you! I had to trim down the cards as they didn’t fit my envelopes. Something I didn’t even think about as I was just following the sketch. They are still okay, but I liked the border and I lost more than I wanted.

      1. Why not try making your own envelopes. I do that or even cut another one down to make something fit properly.

  1. Fabulously fun and pretty card!!

Thank you for joining our challenge at Love Those Pretty Papers!

    1. Thank you! I had to use pencils on the envelope as it was way too thin for Copic markers. I do often place a scrap under my coloring but decided to just use pencils this time.

  2. Fun, happy cards. The patterned paper looks awesome together and a perfect choice for your bee design. Love the stamp on the envelope too.
