Saw a similar layout and wanted to use my freshly cut snowflakes to give a try. All snowflakes were Silhouette cut in white cs. Base on was left as is, Next up was smeared with gold stencil butter and tiny one is pink stencil butter. One dry they were stacked together with glue and sparkle rounds added. The bg piece was masked with stencil and the gold stencil butter applied. Once dry I partially dry embossed with snowflake ef. Used the pink stencil butter, watered it down to color the sentiment dies with a paint brush. Was not my intention to have ombre but that is how the water mixed and dried. Probably could not do it again if I tried. Mounted the piece on white cs base.
Thanks for sharing your time with me, now I am sharing this with:
Lovely card! I like your bright colors.
Thanks Lisa, not some I would have as a go to but sure should.
Another beautiful card- love the colors, dimension, and sparkle. And the ombré is perfect!
Thanks Diana, fun to add the elements and the butter dries very fast so it came together this morning quick too.
Beautiful!! I would never have thought of pink and gold together but it is very striking.
Thanks Gerry, not my go to colors but probably should be.
Gorgeous. The pink ombre was definitely a happy accident. Love the embossing folder.
Thanks Judy, was not sure about dry embossing after stencil but it worked.
Loving your pink and gold and the shine you achieve with the stencil butter. Great embossing folder and love the diagonal piece.
The bg is all one piece but so glad you like it Gayle!
This is stunning! I love the diagonal line of texture and that stencil butter gives amazing results. Thanks so much for playing along with us at the Color Hues challenge blog!
Thanks Julie, I did go back and add glossy accents to the sentiment and pink snowflake. Adds that wow that the flat elements were missing.
This is gorgeous.
Thanks Golda, sure fun to make.
Love your pink and gold combination, and the shine looks great! I also love the partial embossed background. Such a pretty card.
Thanks Lisa, I was delighted when the stencil butter did not crack when dry embossed just above it.
I love that you took one of the cards by the DT and made it your own! This is as pretty as can be! I am swooning over that snowflake! Happy New Year and thanks for joining us at Color Hues!
Thanks for the encouragement and thank heaven that CASE is permitted and encouraged.
Echoing the others: your card is gorgeous! The pink and gold snowflake is positively swoon-inducing! So thrilled you joined us at Color Hues!
