I was inspired by Lisa’s Penguins Welcoming 2023 card that she posted a few days ago using Gerda Steiner Designs digi freebie and this is the card that I came up with. After coloring in the numbers and the penguins I decided to coloring in the rest of the panel using my makers. It was fun to do but lots of coloring. I added a simple die cut with shadow on vellum hello and some layering to complete my card to kick off a brand new year!
Here’s to making new memories in 2023!

Once I started coloring I decided on different color backgrounds and then needed one more card so I enlarged the image slightly and it was much easier to color. Lol.
Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and stay safe.
Leave it to the penguins to have so much fun in the snow. You were smart to enlarge. I tried it but was way too small for water coloring.
Thanks, Bonnie, I’m sure it was way too small for your beautiful watercoloring.
Cute card. That’s a lot of coloring but worth it, it’s so bright and cheery.
LOL…Judy….it was a lot of coloring especially for me.
So cute! Love your bright colors.
Thanks again, Lisa, for sharing the link for the image. It’s pretty cute, isn’t it.
Cute, colorful, cards! Love this image!
Cute cards!!! You did a great job with all that coloring.
Thanks, Gerry, the coloring kept my focus for sure.
You have more patience than I do. I can’t imagine doing this in a really small image. Love the result and design.
Thanks, Johanna, I should have printed the image in the larger right away. I’m not a great at coloring but it wasn’t too bad.
Love this! Can’t wait to see what you create in 2023!
Thanks Golda.
If I had to choose a favorite, I’d choose the pink background with the larger image; so colorful and festive. But they all look great!
