Snowy Joy

Peace On Earth Christmas Challenge #30

Can You Handle The Pressure Anything Goes with the Twist of SNOW

I decided to play along with two challenges today with my gold snowflake card. After cutting down two sections of card stock, I embossed them with my Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder. I like this type of card design by am challenged to get the dimenstions just right so after many trims of the cardstock it’s better than horrible. The patterned paper is from a Michael’s Recollections gold/black & white pad from my stash. Using Spellbinder’s word die for JOY and I believe Cherry Lynn snowflake die which was cut in gold metallic paper and layered on a white die cut. My card was complete.

Temps are going up finally and more rain is on it’s way but for me it’s better than snow.

I was inspired from the Peace On Earth mood board to use gold and white. I did add a little blue snow stencil on the card base.

Can You Handle the Pressure requires an embossing folder and the twist of snow. I always try to play along with the twist.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and be safe.

  1. Your patience to get things trimmed far exceeds mine. I would have cut the insert and mounted on pop ups on the one piece bg. But then again, this is gorgeous.

  2. Beautiful! Love the snowflakes all over. We reached 70 degrees today! I have windows open. It will not last long, but I will enjoy it while it is here.

  3. This is gorgeous! I have made cards similar to this and also struggle to get the angles the way I like them. Looks easier than it is – lol! Love the white and gold; so pretty!

  4. Great card. The layered snowflake is so pretty over the snowflake EF. You did a great job on the angled piece.

  5. This is lovely Gayle and like you I’ve found getting the angles right is a challenge. When it is right the result is very effective. Love this take on the challenges.
