This card began on Splitcoast Stampers with the Challenge Your Stash December challenge. The hostess asked for gingerbread or another sweet on your card. I went with gingerbread.

This card will be added to the Peace on Earth Christmas challenge with the anything Christmas option.

I used November 2020 Paper Pumpkin stamp set for the house. I embossed with white pigment ink, then used a Bic marker to color the small spaces trying to keep it away from the white embossing. The stitched square and rectangle dies are from The Stamps of Life. The decorative square die used is from Spellbinders. The gingerbread man is from The Stamps of Life addition set that goes with a snow globe set. The greeting is also TSOL from a large gingerbread set.

I enjoyed creating this card. I used an idea I saw on Pinterest. It was nice to use my stash and create something totally different with the items.
Your red coloring turned out really good.
Thanks! I remembered I had a tiny nib marker in the Bic line. I was surprised it worked so well.
Adorable card, Lisa. The gingerbread house white embossed on kraft with the touches of red looks awesome.
Thanks! This was the first time I have colored like this. It worked great with the small nib markers.

DAR’S CRAFTY CREATIONS
Thank you! I do enjoy your challenges.
I’m not sure I would have the patience to add the red the way you did. This is a lovely card and very creative.
I had to use a very small nib marker, then it was a bit easier to color. Thanks!
Lisa, this is great! I love your use of the kraft paper.
Thank you! I love using Kraft paper and it looks great with red.
