The theme at Just Us Girls is “Harvest”. What says Harvest more than a sheaf of wheat? I cut 15 stalks of wheat from the Autumn Bouquet Fancy Die set by Hero Arts from Honey Mustard cardstock, then swiped the Honey Mustard ink cube across the tops. I glued several to the Dark Chocolate panel, then used foam strips to the remainder for dimension. The bow is from the same die set, cut twice from a scrap of red. The sentiment is from Beyond Baskets embossed in gold I used a Faded Brick mat on a Honey Mustard card base. Wow! One Thanksgiving card done!

Beautiful card! I like your wheat.
Thanks Lisa. It has a lot of dimension that doesn’t show well in the picture.
All your layering does show very well and is quite effective. So clean and tells such a story.
Thanks Bonnie. Of course I was singing the hymn the whole time I was making the card.
LOL…I was singing the hymn too.
Very nice card – love the wheat and the dimension of it! I can see several uses for the wheat – with pumpkins, in a basket or part of a scarecrow. You have my mind buzzing!
Thanks Diana. I think that’s the first time I’ve used that die. I have a couple of pumpkin dies that should work with it.
Beautiful. I love the wheat and your rich fall colors.
Thanks Gayle. It feels good to start creating fall cards.
Beautiful card, Judy. I love the dimension on the wheat and the combination of colors on your card. Thanks for sharing it with us at Just Us Girls.
And it’s a fantast Thanksgiving/Autumn/Fall card to have done! Love the dimension you created!
Thanks Golda,
Judy, what a dramatic and gorgeous card – perfect for this week’s JUGS challenge! Love it!
Thanks Angie
Amazing!!! Beautiful and dramatic card. That hymn will be going through my head all day.
Thanks Gerry. I was honored when I learned the card won.
I know you won the challenge – and I’m not surprised at all. It is a fantastic card and to me is a perfect take on the challenge idea. Colour choices are great.
Thanks Johanna. I had fun making it and was delighted to have won.
