Black and White are classic colors whether in fashion, décor or card making. Black and White is the trend at Just Us Girls this week. All products are by Gina K Designs. The pattern paper is from Petite Patterns – something I’ve been hoarding forever, cut with Master Layouts 1 and matted with Black Onyx card stock. The sentiment is from Hippo Bird Day. I wanted a little squiggle under the sentiment, but couldn’t find just the right one, so I settled for a tiny flower from It’s All You, a recent incentive. I wanted to use a little fishtail piece of black gingham ribbon but my ribbon wasn’t cooperating. Then I thought I’d found a piece of black gingham PP, but after cutting it and putting it with the rest of the card decided it looked more dark green than black – scratch the ribbon.

Love how you matted everything and really made the sentiment king.
Thanks Bonnie – it was a challenge finding a nice bold sentiment.
Great pattern mix – love the hb font too. Thanks for joining in at JUGS
Thanks for a fun challenge Vicki.
Love all the matting – this is a very striking card!
Thanks Diana. I was pleased with the way it came together.
Beautiful card! Glad you decided to stop hoarding that paper and you decided to use it for this beauty.
Thanks Lisa. I’m trying to use more PP. It does add so much interest to a card.
Beautiful card Judy. Love all the matting. Another winner in my eyes.
Thanks Gerry. I can always hope.
Such a classic card. Love your mix of patterned papers and the black layering.
Great job on this one Judy! I love that it’s all black and white, but so many different styles/ways/patterns.
Thanks Golda. I used to not like to mix patterns but the mix really worked here.
Great mix of patterned papers on this beauty! I love the design with the layering. Thanks for playing along with us at JUGS!
Thanks. I always enjoy the challenges, just don’t always have time to play.
