Skating Bear

ModSquad Challenge: Bears

Let it Snow… Let it Snow….Let it Snow….only on grassy surfaces, please. My skating bear however would probably prefer some ice for skating. Growing up our local fire company would spray water on a section of our playground for ice skating…what fun we had! Not sure if I would attempt that now since the bones are telling me to think again.

Getting back to my card, I found this fun bear and unfortunately I do not know the stamp set manufacturer but I’m thinking I picked it up at my local Michael’s on clearance. I colored him with Arteza colored pencils and lightly added some color to the image panel too. The sentiment is a red rubber Inkadinkadoo stamp which was heat embossed in bronze embossing powder and the panel layered on bronze cardstock. Snowflakes were cut from SSS Sensational Snowflakes die, patterned paper is GKD and a little bit of sequins that were hanging out on my desk.

My card will be entered into the ModSquad Challenge hosted by Nancy and must include BEARS!

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. Make it a great day and stay safe.

  1. Cute. It looks like the bear just wrote the sentiment with his skate. I used to love to ice skate and couldn’t wait for it to get cold enough for my uncle’s pond to freeze. Now I don’t want to be in the cold at all and don’t want to break any bones. Still love to watch ice skating competitions though.

    1. Thanks, Judy, I love to watch ice skating competitions too. So elegant and I would struggle to stay on my feet.

  2. Your bear image is so cute, and I love how you positioned that awesome greeting as if being “written” by his skates. The snowflake die cuts look great with the patterned paper as well.

  3. Very cute. That cute bear actually has the kind of the snooty look other kids would give me as they whizzed by me with my weak ankles. Oh, what fun we had.

  4. That bear looks like he is writing the sentiment as he skates past. He is so cute skating along. Love the entire card and think you are really clever in putting it together.
