Pumpkin Tag Card

It has been quite a while since I made a tag, much less used it on a card. This week’s Mod Squad Challenge is to make a tag. Simon Says Stamp as two challenges that interest me as well.

I started with the wagon and then added the pumpkin. I used Wheelie Full Wagon from Maymay Made It stamp set for all of the stamping. I didn’t have a tag die that fit the wagon, so I cut my own. Then I decided it needed something else, and I found a scrap of orange cardstock that matched the pumpkin and patterned paper well, so I cut another tag. I found twine and ribbon in my stash, so it went for tag embellishment. This was my World Cardmaking Day card and I enjoyed stamping and coloring.

I am entering this in Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Anything Goes challenge, as well as Simon Says Stamp World Cardmaking Day challenge.

  1. Super cute, Lisa. Tags always are a challenge for me but I really like your treatment and shape of your tag.

  2. Great hand-cut tag, and I love the combination of ribbon and twine. Love the paper you used also and how nicely it matches your beautifully colored wagon image! Great fall card!

    1. Thanks, Lisa. I started with the patterned paper and a few stamp sets. I really enjoyed coloring this simple pumpkin.

    1. Thank you, Gerry. I remembered someone using ribbon then tying a bow and I had the perfect twine, so it was so fun to use it.

  3. Cute card. Love the pumpkin in the wagon. Tags are a challenge for me. You did a great job of cutting your own and layering.

    1. Thanks, Judy. It has been a long time since I used tags, but have never cut my own for a card. I have tag punches and dies, but none were the correct size. So glad I realized I could just cut my own.

  4. You are becoming quite accomplished. Being creative and thinking out of the box is so impressive. Your wagon with the pumpkin is super cute.
