Patterned Butterfly

Double D Challenges: Butterflies

ModSquad Challenge Patterned Paper Trio

I just realized that I have a lot of birthdays coming up through September so I better get working on my cards especially if our mail service is going to slow down!

My card was created using GKD’s Birthday Blessing stamp set and matching butterfly die which is the theme of the Double D Challenge. My trio of patterned papers for the ModSquad Challenge are from GKD’s Fight Like A Girl patterned paper set and undetermined first layer of patterned paper. The sentiment was stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black ink and sponge lightly in GKD’s Key Lime ink while still in the Spellbinder’s large classic ovals die.

    1. Thanks, Judy, GKD always had nice patterned paper packs and I’m glad to have a lot of them even if I cannot identify all of them anymore.

    1. Thanks Bonnie and I agree with sentiment…..definitely a Bonnie type one….probably why I used it.

    1. Thanks, Lisa, I remember seeing a card you and Golda created using strips of patterned paper and I guess I CASE’d the two of you for my card. Thanks for putting the idea in my head.

    1. Thanks so much Lisa. GKD had so many pretty patterned paper packs and they are usually my go to when needed.

  1. Such a lovely card. I LOVE your patterned paper choices and the colors are fabulous. Great take on the Mood Board, thanks so much for playing along with us over at the Double D Challenge. Hope we see you back again soon!!

  2. What a fun card, Gayle. I really like your use of patterned papers and that pretty popped up butterfly that is just flying right off the front.

  3. Such a pretty card and as a butterfly lover I can see why you chose them as your theme. Pretty pp too. Reading your post reminds me I had better sort out the Sept. b’days too. If I leave I had better have them in the mail prior to going.
