My card today was created for a dear friend’s birthday and also for Gina K’s August Monthly Mix Challenge hosted by Mindy Eggen. Mindy is challenging us to create a card using the design concept of “White Space”. So after watching some videos this is the card I decided upon. My stamps are from GKD’s Hello Sunshine STVKit, cardbase is Tranquil Teal and inks are Ocean Mist, Lemon Drop, Key Lime and Tranquil Teal. I added some GKD Vanilla Ice sequins and stamped the sentiment in VersaFine Onxy Black ink.
Plenty of White Space and CAS, too.
Hard to believe it’s the middle of August already. One day seems to blend into another but we had the opportunity to watch our grandson play some baseball. I was very impressed that parents were socially distanced, wore masks, the players knew as soon as they went into the dugout to cover up with their masks. The end of game all of the boys lined up on the baseline and tipped their hats. Chase had a good game, 2 hits, 3 stolen bases, caught an infield pop-up for an out, 1 RBI but unfortunately hit two batters. He was so upset but sucked it up to finish out the inning. At the end of the game the coaches brought the two boys together and they had a moment of good sportsmanship and gave a “guy” hug to each other. Oh how these 9 and 10 year olds can show the world all good in it and in each other.
This is a beautiful card, Gayle. Definitely lots of white space, but it’s just right.
Glad you got to see your grandson play, too. It’s amazing how quickly we are adjusting our lives to the new normal.
Lovely card. How great that you got to see your grandson’s game and how great that they all followed the necessary protocols for today’s world
Your card is the perfect fit for the challenges. Love the pretty flowers. So wonderful that you saw your grandson’s game and the boys knew how to follow instructions. Sounds like a perfect day.
Love your card and so glad for the grandson! And so true, if we watch the kids, the world would be a better place!
You nailed the ‘white space’ challenge! Love your card! What a fun day! Watching Chase play baseball! Lucky you!!
Great CAS card. Nice to hear that your grandson is able to play ball safely, and that he had a good game. Love hearing that good sportsmanship is being taught and practiced!
Your card is beautiful. The stamps you used with those colors are perfect with the ‘white space’. How fun to watch your grandson play baseball. Our grandson is all grown up but I have fond memories of watching him.
great interpretation! love the colors too! Thank you for entering the Gina K Designs challenge this month!
Thanks for hosting this fun challenge.
You nailed the challenge, made a super CAS card for a friend and enjoyed your grandson. What fun for you.
Thanks, Johanna, you know those CAS cards always seem to say add more! Lol!
