So MFT came out with a pretty Card Kit, recently. I like it and everyone that has gotten it absolutely loves it, but I was thinking I could do something similar with different stamps. So, I used the Beautiful Bloom stamp and Hello Beautiful sets that were a card kit last summer to create this card with the same ideas from this new kit. I used a piece that I did a while back with different Ken Oliver Color Bursts and embossed the flower in white ink on top.
After cutting the flower out using the die, I cut out the word “Beautiful from the Hello Beautiful set. I used silver, but realized it wouldn’t look good just on top of the flower, so cut out the background for it in a dark blue that was similar to the darkest color in the watercolor piece.
This is what I wound up with and I really like it. I used my Cuttlebug to do all the die cutting and some Gina K Connect glue for adhering everything.
Thanks for spending some of your valuable time with me today!
Beautiful card!
Thanks Diana!
Oh what a stunning creation. The monochromatic effect is pleasing to the eye. So glad you backed the sentiment in blue.
Thank you Bonnie. It definitely needed the blue.
This is so beautiful!! Love that embossed flower.
Thanks Gerry!
Ooh…gorgeous flower and card. Love the white embossing and the simple sentiment die cut.
Thank you Gayle.
Love this! Thanks for the inspiration. I need to pull my color bursts out and give something like this a try.
This has a real wow factor. Love it and I like how you matched your sentiment to the flower
