While all of the supplies were out, I created an Autumn gnome for Thanksgiving.

The acorns are from The Stamps of Life. I found this patterned paper in my stash.
While all of the supplies were out, I created an Autumn gnome for Thanksgiving.
The acorns are from The Stamps of Life. I found this patterned paper in my stash.
I enjoyed creating this scene card. I borrowed a set from my daughter to create this fun card.
This is my first time playing in a Your Next Stamp Challenge. The set used is called Scarf Weather by YNS. I wanted something to color that is full of Autumn, so this set was loaned to accomplish my goal. The patterned paper used is Lawn Fawn Sweater Weather. I am fairly sure the paper pack is no longer available as I have had it a few years. It seemed perfect to use for creating my scene. After laying items out, my daughter suggested a fence in the background. I have a Gina K Design Fence die, so it was cut from the same paper pack.
This card is also going to the Splitcoast Stampers Crafter’s of Faith group monthly challenge. This month the verse is Isaiah 44:23 Sing, O ye heavens; for the Lord hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree therein: for the Lord hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel.
Let’s show the vibrant glory of God’s handiwork in the earth when it’s autumn. The colors of the leaves on the trees as they die and let go and show us how beautiful it is to let go!
I love the set as it has so many fun characters and a lot of leaves. I used the matching dies for cutting most of the images then used my scissors on a few of the leaves.
I decided to give the Make The Cards Challenge a try since the theme has Buffalo Plaid and I like plaid. I found a few other challenge with the help from Buddy Bonnie, so will add those as well.
I used older stamps and retired product on this card. It is so enjoyable to pull out older product and use it rather than it sitting. The background is stamped using Stampin’ Up Buffalo Check, the flower is from Painted Harvest, both retired from SU. The greeting is from a set called So Grateful from Power Poppy. I added a piece of ribbon, matted the focal, popped it up on foam squares and called it complete.
Autumn is my favorite season as I love the cooler weather and the colors as the leaves change. I love mums in my yard and a pumpkin on my front porch. My explanation is for the As You Like It challenge to explain which is my favorite season between Autumn and Winter. I truly do not enjoy winter. I like seeing snow the first time it happens then get very tired of the cold and dreary weather.
Autumn is often a time to be thankful to someone who has helped me. I receive a lot of help from my Buddies and an honored to call them each a friend.
I love the colors for The Paper Players Challenge, so I sat down to create a card. Then I saw the Wednesday challenge with Simon Says Stamp creating a card with no stamps, so I knew I was on the right track for both challenges.
I used Lawn Fawn Stitches Leaves, die cut from Pretty Peacock, Blackberry Bliss, and Cajun Craze. My glitter is strips cut from Bronze glitter paper, The Paper Studio. The patterned paper is SU Designer Paper from the In Color Suite with Pretty Peacock and the Regal Suite with Blackberry Bliss and Cajun Craze. I saw this layout idea on a video with Sharon Armstrong, SU Demonstrator. I enjoyed making my layout then adding the leaves on a glittery square.
Thanks for the enjoyable challenges!
The current challenge at Gina K Designs is to create a Fall card.
I used Gina K Designs cardstock in creating this card. The images are from Give Thanks, colored with Tombow markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. I used a slimline die from The Stamps of Life for placing the characters into. The rest of the card was cut with a paper trimmer.
The current challenge at Gina K Designs is to create a card with white space. This card uses Autumn colors and leaves leaving a lot of white space.
I used the Tiny Textures stamp set for the background stamping in the colors Tomato Soup, Sweet Corn, and Fresh Asparagus. The leaves and greeting are from Skeleton Leaves stamped in Black Onyx ink. I added a few black gems to finish the card.
I am also adding this to the Retro Rubber Challenge to use stamps older than a year. Skeleton Leaves was released in 2015 and Tiny Textures was released in 2016.
Another tree card that was completed today. I am still using Thoughtful Branches and the greeting is from Autumn Wishes, by Gina K Designs. I had so much fun stamping the leaves in Autumn colors. I used Hero Arts and Lawn Fawn inks for the leaves and Memento ink for the branches and greeting. I am enjoying pulling out older sets to use along with the combination of inks and papers.
The cardstock used is Stampin Up Naturals White and Early Expresso. This will be entered in the As You See It Challenge.
Having fun with a new Gerda Steiner Designs stamp.
I used a Darice embossing folder for the tree. It is cut from SU Chocolate Chip cardstock, with the leaves colored with several markers laying close. I used Celebrate Autumn from Echo Park for the paper piecing. The bear is colored with various alcohol markers. This was fun to create. It has been quite a while since I paper pieced. I will post this to Gerda Steiner Designs challenge for September.
This month’s challenge at Gina K Designs is to use Patterned Paper: https://www.ginakdesigns.com/2019/09/02/september-2019-monthly-mix-challenge/
I have two cards I created with the same layout, using the same paper pack as well as the same set of stamps. The paper pack is Sun Kissed Autumn and the stamp set used is Autumn Wishes. This is the first one with the owl.
