Funny Charming Birthday

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for my niece. Image and sentiment “For your birthday, I wanted to give you something that was both funny and charming, but then I remembered… you already have me in your life. Happy Birthday.” were found online. Cs used is Stampin Up’s Cajon Craze. Picture frame and corner strips are 1/4″ strips cut from cs. This niece is following in my footsteps by also making sarcastic cards. I’m so proud of her. 😉

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Creepy Spiders

Hello and welcome. Background spiderweb is from no name ef which I used a blending brush with Basic Gray stamp pad to darken it. Sentiment is computer clip art that I fussy cut and popped up. Spiders are from an old Sizzix Sizzlit die that I’ve had forever. Spider heads and legs have black Wink of Stella for a little creepy sparkle, bodies have black glittered Fun Flock added. Spider eyes were added with a gold gel pen, and spiders are also popped up.

Happy Anniversary

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our oldest granddaughter and hubby. Again, pp was found online. Pp was adhered to Very Vanilla cs leaving a 1 1/4″ space. Sentiment was printed in my Hallmark card program and die cut with a stitched rectangle die that I bought on Amazon. Small flowers are from Flourish Thinlits by Stampin up. I added Wink of Stella to the flowers for a little glimmer. Card base, flower and sentiment die cuts are Pumpkin Pie cs.

4th Attempt

It only took four attempts to create my own background for this card. When I was finally happy with the TE Squiggly Stacklets die cut panel which was stenciled with a combination of SimonSaysStamps’ Mixed Match Circles and a second that I cannot recall the name inked in Kitsch Flamingo DO ink then stamped in black with Hero Arts bat background stamp!! I then started work on my focal image and more Distress Oxide inks and a spritz of water a layer of Memory Box Pasture Grasses and my IO trick or treaters. It only took me two attempts to stamp the black notecard with the white pigment ink HA’s bat stamp (first attempt my bats were upside down)!!! A few Martha Stewart bat punched bats and thankfully this is completed. My card will be shared with:

Pretty mood board which inspired me to use pink circles for my background. Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and stay safe.

Paw Print Birthday

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for one of our favorite servers. Her only “child” is her dog so I thought she might like the paw prints paper. Pp was found online. Sentiment was printed in my Hallmark card program, but it took several tries to get it placed right. I used a small circle punch to punch a couple little paws from the pp to place on each end of the sentiment. It’s a pretty simple card but I think she’ll like it.

Polka Dot Birthday

Hello and welcome. This is the layout that popped into my head when I found this piece of pp in my stash. To add a little texture to the white 5 14 x 4 panel I diagonally scored it every 1/4″. Circle dies are Spellbinders Scalloped and Classic circles, sentiment was printed on the computer. I was happy with the finished card and hubby liked it too. This will go to one of my longtime friends.

Silhouette in Gray

A bit of a more subdued CAS birthday card today. After cutting a circle stencil, I ink blended Taylored Expressions Oyster ink, then stamped Gina K Designs Friendly’s Silhouette stamp in white pigment ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Thankfully I left the stamp in the Misti due to someone not making sure the ink was dry on the blended circle. Wiped off the embossing powder, heated the circle to dry the ink, then repeated the inking and embossing steps. Thankfully it worked. After die cutting a new circle panel and trimming to size my card , I curved the birthday sentiment around my circle and added a small butterfly in black which was from GKD’s Fabulous Frame stamp set

My card will be shared with two birthday challenges today:

Merry CHRISTMAS

Hello and welcome. Finally, I got around to making a diagonal split card. White panels were embossed with The Paper Studio’s snowflakes ef., pp was found online. The poinsettia embellishment is computer clip art fussy cut and popped up with Wink of Stella added for a little glimmer. Sentiment dies are Spellbinders and cut in both black and red. Before die cutting I added double back adhesive to the cs. I also added Wink of Stella to the sentiment. I’m very pleased how it turned out.

Batty!!

This is my interpretation for the As You See It Challenge #356 which is a sketch challenge using rectangles and circles.

After quite a bit of thought I switched out the circles for bats punched with a good old Martha Stewart bat punch and three different patterned papers from my stash. Sentiment is Simon Says Stamp’s Happy Haunting stamp set and Taylored Expressions Wavy Stitch Stacklets with a bit of black spatter. I had one tiny piece of orchid cardstock from Gina K Designs and used it as a partial corner backer. A fun challenge and I was so thrilled that my leaf card for last month’s speed challenge was chosen as “Featured Artist”! Thank you so much for the honor and mention.
