Crooked Eye Bunny

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our 3-year-old great-granddaughter.

This isn’t quite what I started out to make. Originally the bunny was going to be in the bottom left corner, but I didn’t die cut the right size circle and I had it all put together before I tried to put it on the paper. Background paper from my stash was just the right size. Dies used are Spellbinders classic circles and Petite ovals. Center of ears was embossed with Stampin Up dots ef. Eyes and heart are small hand punches, cheeks were done with a small cotton ball and pink stamp pad, whiskers are had drawn. Eyes were punched from dark blue, and I added clear Wink of Stella for a little sparkle. Egg stickers are from my stash. Eyes are a little crooked, but Bernie already knows if it’s perfect GGG couldn’t have made it. lol

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Bow Tie Bunnie

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is what I came up with for a masculine Easter card. For the pp I Googled Easter stripe background paper. To my amazement I just happened to have the right color cs. Bunny is from the Silhouette and popped up. Bow tie is from an online coloring page printed on orange cs and fussy cut. Ovals are Spellbinders classic ovals, with the white one dry embossed. Sentiment and small egg, which are double cut, are a no name die bought on Amazon. I’m pretending the googly eye is candy on the chocolate bunny.

Thanks for stopping by your visits mean a lot to me. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Flopsy, Mopsy & Cottain Tail

Hello and welcome. For some reason I just had to make a slimline card with 3 circles. Patterned paper was found online. Circles are Spellbinders Classic Circles. Images are from a lawn fawn stamp set that was a challenge prize. Images were stamped on pattern paper fussy cut and popped up. Sentiment was found online, punched with the SU Modern Labels punch. Names were printed on the computer then punched with SU word window punch. Bunnies and sentiment are on white cs that I lightly colored with a cotton ball and Bashful Blue stamp pad. It doesn’t show very well but I scored 1/4 around all edges and added some white fun flock to the cotton tail.

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Checked Bunny

Hello and welcome. While perusing Pinterest I came across an Easter card with a yellow checked bunny and thought it was so cute. The one I saw had a small grass border but since I don’t have a grass border stamp I found some grass border clip art on Google. After printing the grass I used Spellbinders Labels Small then with a cotton ball and Bashful Blue stamp pad to lightly add some sky color. Bunny is from a coloring page, fussy cut and popped up. Sentiment is from Stampin Up’s Easter Blossoms stamp set (I’m sure long retired). Going through my Easter stash I found the little chicken stickers and yellow bow. I think some of the stuff in my Easter stash must be 20 years old.

sunshine

A good friend has had some not so good luck lately. Her computer was hacked and the hacker somehow got to her bank account and it has been quite horrible for her. She’s finally got that mess straightened out but she’s had some other ups and downs lately. She’s shared a lot of those woes with me and I’ve tried to give her encouraging pep talks. The sentiment is from a small set in the Premium portion of the February 2024 Hero Arts My Monthly Hero kit. The Sunshine stencil is also from the Premium kit. I centered the sentiment on the card and blended Wild Dandelion in the center and outlined with a bit of Sweet Mango, then more Wild Dandelion. After removing the stencil I blended the remaining Wild Dandelion that was on my brush over the whole panel to tone down the bright white. The cloud sentiments were stamped in Stormy Sky, fussy cut and popped up with dimensionals. Both the focal panel and mat were cut with dies from Master Layouts 2. The inside sentiment and the sunrays are from Hello Sunshine, a Simon Says Stamp kit from August 2020.

I’m going to enter this in the Word Power challenge for March.

Before You Judge

Hello and welcome. Yep, time again for DOS chuckle card.

Colored cs was dry embossed with a stripe ef by The Paper Studio, image is clip art, sentiment, “Before you judge someone walk a mile in their shoes. After that, who cares? They’re a mile away and you have their shoes.” was found online. Quick, easy and snarky.

Thanks for stopping by I appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

St. Patrick’s Day Stitching

I have fallen in love with stitching again. As a young woman, I stitched a lot. I made all sorts of home decor, gifts, and even added stitching to sweatshirts. Now, many years later, there are several dies to create stitching on. I will focus on Lawn Fawn with the focal of this card.

The pattern came from Lawn Fawn. They have several patterns available to use that fit their dies perfectly. I placed the shamrock on a Circle Flip-it Die Cut. I used my very retired Sizzix/The Stamps of Life die to cut the card base. The colors I chose for the card are SU Lemon Lime Twist with matching patterned paper. The shamrocks along the border were from Lawn Fawn also. I made the one at the top with heart dies.

I will add this to the Colorful Options March challenge: https://colorfuloptions.blogspot.com/2024/03/march-2024.html

I hope to continue adding stitching to cards. My family shopped for me to select the floss colors on my list, so I have no excuses. Thanks for coming by and seeing my card.

Cocktails?

Smoky, green cocktail with an eyeball olive, anyone? My card today will be shared with, yes, you may have guessed the Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge. The mood board included lots of green and I decided on a witch’s green brew stirred not shaken!

The martini glass is an online coloring image to which I added color. A spider doily was used in certain areas as a stencil and added a little splotches of black for a smoky look. Die cut three spiders from a Tim Holtz die set, mounted my focal image on green glitter paper, cut a piece of my St. Patrick’s Day patterned paper and mounted on a piece of shimmer black.

Oh and yes, an eyeball in place of the olive was quite necessary.

Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge – March 2024 Anything Goes Halloween

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. More crazy weather is heading our direction when the rain stops tonight, the March winds will begin and then maybe more springlike for the middle of next week. Take care and sending green hugs.

Snarky Riley

A few more St Patrick’s Day cards. I ordered a St. Patrick’s Day kit from Riley and Company which included the overlay die and some pieces of cardstock to create 3 cards with instructions. The patterned paper is really nice quality and the die cuts out so easily. And the snarky message cracks me up and made me think of our Buddy Gerry.

I’m not sure if this would be appropriate for our 13 year old grandson but the leprechauns may trick me into sending it to him anyway.
