Butterflies

Three triangle card designs using Gina K Designs Sending Love pure luxury paper packs. Since I don’t have any double sided patterned papers I needed two designs from the same pack and these designs seemed to complement each other. I was able to get two cards from each 5×3-3/4″ paper of each design however one cut didn’t make it past the glue down. LOL! Top card uses a Tim Holtz stamp from his Butterfly Melange stamp set and sentiment from a friend, middle card is Gina K Designs Birthday Blessings stamp and die set and bottom card is Taylored Expressions Butterflies stamp and die set.

My patterned paper designed cards will be shared with:

The Sisterhood of Crafters: April 24 – Springtime Designer Paper challenge.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and be safe.

Birthday Flip-it with Envelope

I was challenges to use ignored DSP to make a card or more than one card. I chose to begin with an envelope and then used the remaining paper to make a flip-it card.

The cardstock used is Fresh Freesia by Stampin Up. The DSP is also SU, but I do not know the name. One side is the floral print while the other is the print on the envelope. The greeting die is from The Stamps of Life as well as the Circle Flip-it die set. I used the envelope punch board for the envelope.

I will enter this in Seize the Birthday anything goes: https://seizethebirthday.blogspot.com/2024/04/seize-birthday-282-off-edge.html

I will also enter this in The Sisterhood of Crafters: https://thesisterhoodofcrafters.blogspot.com/2024/04/april-24-springtime-designer-paper.html

I enjoy using these dies. The flip-it card is always fun to create and the recipient enjoys playing with it.

Merry Christmas

Hello and welcome. Thanks to the Peace On Earth Christmas challenge it’s never too early to start Christmas cards.

Background paper is from my stash, sentiment is computer clip art, poinsettia is from a coloring page colored with Copic’s. Before fussy cutting I adhered the flower to a second piece of cardstock for some stability. Poinsettia has some Wink of Stella on it and is popped up.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

State Fair

I have been working on this card for three days. I finally finished it and will share it now.

This week is the S location for the alphabet challenge I have been participating. I started with the thought process of heading to Six Flags, so out came the Lawn Fawn stamp sets that were ride oriented. As I kept adding more and more elements, I realized that it fit a fair better than the amusement park I remember. So I turned it into a State Fair.

I used three Lawn Fawn sets on this card: Wheely Great Day, Coastal Critters, Coastal Critters Flip-Flop. The colors used for the background are also Lawn Fawn inks. I used a sunray stencil from Spellbinders for the sky. I saw this idea on Pinterest and changed it a little.

This will be entered in Crazy is our fame challenge: https://stencilfun.blogspot.com/2024/04/april-stencil-fun-challenge.html

I will also enter it in Word Art Wednesday: https://wordartwednesday.blogspot.com/2024/04/anything-goes-weeks-645-646.html

The alphabet challenge has become one of my favorite challenges to participate in. I like finding new ways to use the many sets in my stash, or like this time, borrowing from my daughter’s stash.

A Pirate’s Life!!!

Argh!!! not one but two pirate ships sailing the high seas for our youngest grandchildren. They like to receive mail so I will be mailing these cards to them. Both use the Penny Black Pirates stamp set. The top card the pirate ship was stamped on patterned paper, colored and then used a clear star jelly roll pen to outline this “ghost” ship. The bottom card uses Tim Holtz moon stencil and ink blending as well as an embossing folder for some fancy waves. Layer of gold seemed appropriate to back the focal panel.

These cards will be sharred with:

Tropical Olaf!

A movie theme almost had me stumped until I realized that I was gifted this all too cute Olaf from Frozen stamp and die set. The sentiment included in the Simply Defined stamp set prompted me to make a tropical theme for Olaf using Newton’s Nook Designs Retro Sun & Palms Stencil set. I deleted a portion of the sentiment and added an offset Catherine Pooler/Cas-ual Fridays Stamp of Approval die to complete my card today.

The movie theme challenge that I will share my card with is:

Here Come The Spiders

Hello and welcome. While perusing Pinterest I saw a few Halloween cards similar to this one and thought it would be fun to try. Card base is Basic Grey, embossed panel is white cs run through a Tim Holtz brick ef. After embossing the piece I ran a Basic Grey stamp pad over it. Drippy goo border is a Martha Stewart punch, large spider is an old Sizzix Sizzlit die, small spiders are an old Cuttlebug die. Spiders eyes are green and yellow Stickles, spiders are popped up.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

T

Positive Thoughts Birthday

I created a card today using colors from Splitcoast Stampers color challenge. This will be mailed to a person celebrating her birthday in May.

I used the stamp set Positive Thought by Stampin Up and the dies that are associated with the set. The colors are Fresh Freesia, Daffodil Delight, and Gorgeous Grape with the neutral of Mossy Meadow. I used a very retired SU set called tile something.

This card will be entered in the Triple B April challenge: https://dd-tripleb.blogspot.com/2024/04/april-2024-challenge.html

It will also be entered in the Can You Handle the Pressure? https://cyhtp.blogspot.com/2024/04/april-13th-2024-anything-goes-with.html

Happy 83rd

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our b-i-l. Patterned paper was found online. White layer and blue squares were embossed with a Stampin Up diamond ef. The white panel and patterned papers were edged with a blue marker. I think the colored edges gives it a more finished look. Label is Stampin Up’s modern label and word window punches, sentiment was printed on the computer and label is popped up. Inside sentiment, found online, “It’s nice to be young, healthy, and full of energy… remember what that feels like?” If I put a nice sentiment in his card he wonders what he did to tick me off.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.
