Wheat Harvest

Time is beginning to close in on the number of holiday for which I can make cards. Thank goodness for challenges to help me out to add to my stash of cards. My card is a CASE of one of Taylored Expressions design team cards that I forgot to link but I liked the design and style and tried to do my best to make it my own. TE’s Burlap background stamp was inked in orange, yellow and green shades, cut down and added ivory cardstock, stamped wheat from TE’s Wheatfiled Dreams stamp set in Versamark, adding gold embossing powder and die cut. I stamped the same burlap background over the top of the wheat. Added a few score lines, stamped a Gina K Designs sentiment and some gold cord to complete my card.

I’ll be sharing my card today with:

YG Leaves

The Yellow-Green color challenge with Colorful Options made me think immediately of leaves. Using Gina K Designs Skeleton Leaves stamp and die set inking in Key Lime and Wild Dandelion. I then used the same color inks for my large TCW Skeletal Leaf stencil for my backgrond. Anchored the die cuts with a vellum oval and sentiment from a different GKD stamp set that has been misplaced on my desk for the moment or maybe I put it back in it’s place! LOL!! To give a bit of color, I added a partial panel of brown card stock behind the focal image. I wasn’t totally happy with this card but I think it’s growing on me.

My card will be shared with:

Debby brought us some much needed rain to my yard the past couple of days. You could still cut the air with a knife but the tornado watch thankfully did not develop.

Summer Birthday

Celebrating summer with our youngest grandchild’s second birthday with my card design using Gina K Designs Birthday Hoot pure luxury paper and stamp set. Sentiment computer generated and fussy cut owl is on a wobbler. Letters cut from Concord & 9th’s double cut alphabet die without using the border for the letters.

With Sympathy

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for one of our daughter’s best friends whose mom just passed away. Card base is Balmy Blue, pink panel is a scrap piece, pp paper was found online. Die cut is Flourish Thinlits by Stampin Up, sentiment was printed on the computer, gems are from my stash. I’m hoping it will bring some comfort.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you and your time. Have a great day and stay healthy, safe & cool.

Baseball Birthday

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our grandson-in-law. You guessed it, he’s a big MN Twins fan. Background paper was found online, sentiment & clip art were done in my Hallmark card program. Before cutting the strips, I ran the paper through a dots embossing folder for a little texture. This is weird, when I look at the photo the center looks a little off kilter, but it doesn’t in real life. hmmm.

Basket of Flowers

Monchromatic stamping on my card today. I was inspired by a recent Gina K Designs YouTube video where she used silhouette stamps however I was looking for a set with a basket and flowers for a challenge when I remembered this GKD set Vintage Summer. This was a card kit from last year. The images and the sentiment font is a fav of mine. I masked off two edges of the focal panel and ink blended ocean mist ink and stamped the bicycle in blue lagoon. A touch of color for the subtle blooms and some wink of stella for shine as well as a few clay embellishments to finish my card. The frame is a Taylored Expressions die set.

My card will be shared with:

Under the Boardwalk

After a day at the beach at the shore, our family would clean up and head the the boardwalk for some shopping for t-shirts and hermit crabs, noise, arcade games and maybe a ride or two describes what USED to be a favorite beach activity. Now, when hubby and I go to the shore the quieter it is the happier we are just watching the ocean and the people…….LOL….

My card today uses an Inkadinkadoo stamp set for my amusement pier and sentiment from a Hero Arts set. I definitely wanted to use this stamp and the idea that formed in my brain and then brain freeze!! So I die cut pieces and layered them to try to make it work.

I will be sharing my card with and just under the deadline:

Pinwheel Birthday

Hello and welcome. The pinwheel design has become one of my favorites for masculine cards. Embossing folder used for the background is from Sizzix but unfortunately, I don’t know what it’s called. Patterned paper is Stampin Up. Center circle is hand punched and covered with Glossy Accents. Banners for computer printed sentiment were cut on my paper trimmer.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you and your time. Have a great day and stay healthy, safe & cool.

Embossed Foil Christmas

Hello and welcome. Yay!! I’ve got good jump on Christmas cards this year (that is really unusual).

Embossed background folder is a no name one I bought on Amazon, ornament is Holiday Ornaments Thinlits from SU. After foiling the ornament with the Mini Mink I embossed it with a snowflake ef by The Paper Studio. For the ornament top I fussy cut a piece of gold glitter paper, cord is from my stash. At first I wasn’t too sure about it, but I like it.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you and your time. Have a great day and stay healthy, save & cool.
