Wood Anniversary

Hello and welcome. This card is for our granddaughter & hubby. Thanks to Google, I found out wood is traditional for the fifth anniversary. Panel was run through a Cuttlebug Wood Grain ef then lightly sponged with Crumb Cake stamp pad. Center heart frame is Stampin Up’s Sweet & Sassy Framelits also run through the Cuttlebug ef. Corner hearts are a small heart punch also dry embossed. It doesn’t show in the photo, but the center of the large heart is wood grain pp found online. Sentiment was printed on the computer.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Fishy, Fishy

A second card for our grandson’s 2nd birthday. This one went in the mail so he received it on his special day. Three colorful fish from a stamp set that can’t recall and can’t find on my desk. LOL! Hero Arts Fish and Bubbles Confetti die coverplate that I found at my JoAnn’s on clearance a year ago. Ocean patterned paper from my stash and Taylored Expressions frame die.

Happy 19th Birthday

Hello and welcome. It’s hard to believe we can have a great-grandchild turning 19. Yikes, time goes by fast.

I saw this design on Pinterest and thought I should try it. Card base is 5×5 square. Patterned paper was found online, numbers are from the Silhouette, sentiment was printed on the computer. The numbers looked kind of blah, so I dry embossed them. This was very easy to make.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Background paper and image were found online. Window die is Small Madison Window by Memory Box, run through a wood grain ef by The Paper Studio. Sentiment was printed on the computer then I cut the strips using my antique paper cutter. Window frame and strips are lightly sponged with black stamp pad.

Thank you

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for the couple that bought our MN house 24 years ago. We have maintained contact with them all these years and on our recent trip to MN they invited us to the house for a wonderful dinner.

Background paper is from my online stash, die cut is Stitched Squares by Die-namics, sentiment was printed on the computer. The pink strips were cut 1/8″ wide and blue strips are 1/4″.

Seeing family was so good. Our 5-year-old great-granddaughter loved pushing me in my wheelchair. Now the bad part of the trip. The first day of our 3-day drive something twisted in my back and was pushing on the sciatic nerve, so I was in pain the whole time we were there. The day after we got home, I saw the doctor and was put on Prednisone and that is helping.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Sunflower Fields

The beautiful fields of sunflowers may be over this summer but their beauty is etched in my mind. For my card today, I used the TCW Sunflower Meadow stencil and a few clouds from Pretty Pink Posh stencil to recreate those sunflower fields. Sentiment from a Gina K Designs All Occasion Flowers stamp and die set.

Honeysuckle Birthday

I created a card that is CAS and off center, so it will be entered in the Simply Clean challenge. I will add this to the Seize the Birthday with the anything goes option.

This is called honeysuckle since this week’s alphabet challenge at SCS is the honeysuckle flower or the honeysuckle colors. This is a bush and it has flowers that are pink at the base with yellow at the tips, from my research. I do not own the flower stamp and my own drawing approach was not good, so I went with a stamped image.

I used SU Bordering Blooms for the image to color. The greeting is from Lawn Fawn Scripty Sayings. I used copic markers to color the images. The ribbon is SU Daffodil Delight and the gems are SU In Color 2021-2023.

Pumpkin Barrow

Things with wheels challenge and an embossing folder……well let’s see…..I have one wheel and that should work with this Prickley Pear wheelbarrow stamp filled with some colorful pumpkins. The embossed portion is from Darice 3 pack Nature embossing folder which was just wide enough to fill my focal panel.

Lil Witch

I couldn’t resist ordering Whimsy Stamps’ Lil Witches Quick Card Fronts when I saw them. Spellbinders classic, scalloped and beaded oval dies were used for my focal image. I added some paper spider web doilies to my card base, some die cut spiders to complete my card. Sentiment was included with the quick card fronts. My arm was twisted to order the Lil Warlocks card fronts too and some patterned paper (like I need any more of that!). If do wish my orange cardstock and the sentiment matched better….next time I will switch out the orange with another color.
