Humming Along to the Jessamine Bush

I have been creating with the alpha challenge at Splitcoaststampers and the challenges are flowers this round. This weeks is the Jessamine flower, which is the State Flower of South Carolina.

To create this card, I used the Hummingbird set from Hero Arts with matching dies. I stamped the two flowers many times, coloring them with Copic markers, then cutting them with dies. I arranged them to resemble a bush with many blooms sticking out so the hummingbirds could find them.

This will be entered in the Triple B: August 2020 Challenge: https://dd-tripleb.blogspot.com/2024/08/august-2024-challenge.html

It has been a busy month at my house with two birthdays and a few doctor visits. I saw trees turning while we were out today. I was not expecting to see that yet.

Thanksgiving Leaves

Hello and welcome. Today’s card will be entered at https://cyhtp.blogspot.com/2024/08/anything-goes-embossing-with-twist-of.html

Pattern paper was found online. The pp was embossed with a Cuttlebug Leaves ef but it doesn’t really show so I also embossed the leaves. Embossing folder used for the leaves is a no name one from Amazon. Leaf with sentiment was printed on the computer then fussy cut. Small leaves dies are also no name from Amazon.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Off Center

And some days that’s exactly how I go through my days. My card today is for a challenge theme of Anything Goes Clean and Simple and Off Center. That works!! Masking off a higher than center portion of my cardstock and ink blended some “blues” for the background landing of the My Hero Arts August 2017 kit silhouette. I really love the simplicity of silhouette images. And I am very proud of myself that with all the ink blending and stamping with VersaFine onyx black pigment ink, there is not one ink smudge!! It feels good to be a little off center!

Triangles

Today’s card uses Catherine Pooler’s Stamp of Approval GeoBuilders stamp set that has finally been inked. The larger triangle was stamped in Taylored Expressions Peaches n Cream, Mango and Pear inks then the smaller inside triangle was added and stamped in same colors all were fussy cut and adhered to the focal panel. TE’s Branch Out die and a previously stamped and die cut sentiment were added to the card as well as Liquid Pearls to complete this card today which will be shared with:

Double D Challenges: SHAPES The challenge lists squares, rectangles, circles and ovals so hopefully my “triangles” shapes will be accepted. I always play with the theme but……LOL.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and be safe.

Birthday Fields

Trying to keep the focus on my bold Gina K Designs die cut sentiment with vellum shadow with a sub sentiment from a Taylored Expressions stamp set that was in my ready to go sentiments. Background was embossed with SimonSaysStamp’s Floral Field embossing folder on GKD Sweet Corn cardstock. Frame is also TE and embellishments from my stash.

My card today will be shared with:

Word Power #8 Challenge where the sentiment is the focus of the card.

In the Moment

Stepping out of my comfort zone with this card and a Vintage and/or Shabby Chic challlenge at the As You Can See It Challenge Blog. The background patterned paper was included in a goodie bag from Unity Stamps on a recent purchase. I added a variety of stamps from Tim Holtz Visual Artistry Collection Stampers Anonymous stamp set Nature’s Elements. I added a brown ribbon for good measure and just needed a pop of color with my purple butterfly. I really liked the sentiment and know just which one of my friends I can send this card to.

Wood Anniversary

Hello and welcome. This card is for our granddaughter & hubby. Thanks to Google, I found out wood is traditional for the fifth anniversary. Panel was run through a Cuttlebug Wood Grain ef then lightly sponged with Crumb Cake stamp pad. Center heart frame is Stampin Up’s Sweet & Sassy Framelits also run through the Cuttlebug ef. Corner hearts are a small heart punch also dry embossed. It doesn’t show in the photo, but the center of the large heart is wood grain pp found online. Sentiment was printed on the computer.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Fishy, Fishy

A second card for our grandson’s 2nd birthday. This one went in the mail so he received it on his special day. Three colorful fish from a stamp set that can’t recall and can’t find on my desk. LOL! Hero Arts Fish and Bubbles Confetti die coverplate that I found at my JoAnn’s on clearance a year ago. Ocean patterned paper from my stash and Taylored Expressions frame die.

Happy 19th Birthday

Hello and welcome. It’s hard to believe we can have a great-grandchild turning 19. Yikes, time goes by fast.

I saw this design on Pinterest and thought I should try it. Card base is 5×5 square. Patterned paper was found online, numbers are from the Silhouette, sentiment was printed on the computer. The numbers looked kind of blah, so I dry embossed them. This was very easy to make.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.
