Hello and welcome. Today’s card is to congratulate our granddaughter & fiancé who just bought and moved into their first house. They’re getting married Aug. 15. I can’t wait.
I thought it would be fun to have a picture of the house on the card front. I went to the relator’s web site to get this picture. I had a soft sky patterned paper from online for the background then added the photo and sentiment. Card base is Azure Afternoon by Stampin Up. It took me quite a while to get everything sized and placed right but I’m happy with the end result.
Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.
The flower is Altenew Zinnia Magellan Rose, dated 2022. The dotted stencil is from SU Basic Patterns Decorative Masks, 2019 Holiday Catalog. To create this card, I stamped the Zinnia first, then stamped it onto a masking paper. I blended ink over the stencil next. I colored the zinnia with Zig Clean Color Markers. Everything was stamped with Versfine Black Onyx ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. I die cut my panel with Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped dies; they were a recent blog post win. I used Bristol paper for the images and placed it onto a MFT heavy weight vellum paper.
I am also entering this in the Stencil Fun Challenge.
I created this card for a challenge at Splitcoaststampers for the group Challenge Your Stash. The challenge for February is to create a card with Love or Friendship. I chose friendship.
I enjoyed creating this card. It has been a while since I have masked and created an almost one layer card. I have never placed a card on a vellum card base. This is very strong vellum so it should hold well.
I understand we are heading to 70 degrees today! The weather has been fantastic this week. I even walked to the mailbox a few times which I have not been able to do for several months. I do like warmer weather and am very ready for spring to come and stay. Have a wonderful day and thanks for checking out my card.
Hello and welcome. DOS’s Feb. chuckle card never made it to her so I’m posting it for her to see. Quote was found on Pinterest. Patterned paper is an old Stampin Up piece. Black circles were made with a Sharpie and topped with Wink of Stella, OOPS, I cropped the photo of the inside of the insert too close. It has an easel back so it can stand up. Base is 5 1/2 x 4 1/4.
Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.
This Taylored Expressions Rainbow Bright 3 die cut background has been on my desk way too long. A masculine challenge popped up but with an embossing folder. After searching through my embossing folders, I decided on Cuttlebug’s Traffic Jam! Well I wasn’t too happy with the end results but Hubby Will saw a road and I searched out Newton’s Nook’s Love Quarry stamp and die set. I fussy cut the hearts away from the shovel per his request, added a sun and clouds from a Gina K Designs set to complete this card. This will be sent to our youngest grandchild. I’m thinking Owen will like it as he does love trucks. BOYS!!!
My card today will be shared with the fun challenge with:
Hello and welcome. Hubby and I share the same birthday, and we stopped giving each other gifts or cards a long time ago. However, since he played the accordion in elementary school, when I saw a card like this on Pinterest, I just had to make him one. This is an easel card so I’m going to stand it on his desk. Image is clip art, sentiment and music notes were printed on the computer. Edges of top layer were cut with an antique photo cutter.
Thank you for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.
It’s a black & white simple birthday card today but I’m really lovin’ it! The unbranded coverplate die didn’t seem to leave my desk so I put it back to work making my background panel. SimonSaysStamp’s Chunky Happy and a birthday word die that was gifted to me from a friend completes this card.
Since the sentiment is the focus of my card, i will be sharing it with:
I created diagonal patterned paper birthday cards. This will be entered in Seize the Birthday Anything Goes and Love Those Pretty Papers.
This card is made with Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen cardstock. The patterned paper is retired. I used Lawn Fawn Scripty Sayings set and stamped it in Evening Evergreen. The gems match the paper.
I used the same layout. This one is in Magenta Madness, Ohuhu Black, and retired patterned paper. The greeting is Lawn Fawn’s Scripty Sayings stamped in Gina K Designs Black Onyx ink. The gems were ones that seemed to match.
I created this from the Featured Stamper today at Splitcoast Stampers. I basically changed the greeting and paper colors. The layout remained the same.
Today has been a beautiful day outside. We have reached 57 degrees! The snow is melting and it is looking like spring. It is still too early for spring, but the feeling is there.
Hello and welcome. I’m so proud of myself. After several tries to make a triangle card this one finally worked.
Patterned paper is from Stampin Up. I’m sure it has been long retired. Sentiment label was punched with Stampin Up punches. The piece of ribbon was found in the back of a drawer. Sentiment was printed on the computer.
I am SO happy I finally got a triangle card made. Sorry for repeating myself, but I am really pleased with this one.
Thank you for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy, safe & warm.
