Had a lot of fun with this one! Lots of embossing and water coloring involved.

Stenciled Sketch
Definitely had fun with this card. I used a Diamond Stencil from Hero Arts, some Spring Green Nuvo Embellishment Mousse, a few die cuts and a sentiment from the MFT Queen for a Day set.
Yep, it’s a shaker card. Love making shaker cards! My friend had some “sand” embossing powder from Hero Arts that I used. That stuff is amazing.
My friend and I were showing another friend lots of fun ways to make cards. She just retired, so wanted to give her something to do that is fun and encourages her, as well as those she shares her cards with. Definitely a great time.

Stencil Challenge – Just Because
Finally got my stencil challenge card done! I used the new Tim Holtz Alcohol Pearls with the technique that Jennifer McGuire featured last week. Such fun! The stencil is from Gina K Art Stencils – Foliage. I used Nuvo Glimmer Paste which allowed the background to show through. I die cut ‘just because’ from Birch Press 3 times on white cardstock and then the top one is Lawn Fawn Pixie Dust. The photo doesn’t do justice to the sparkle but IRL it is absolutely gorgeous! The colours of the background are so much brighter too. I added some dew drops from my stash, mounted on fun foam then onto a Kraft card base and I’m done. Thank you for stopping by! Hugs!
Stenciled Roses
I used a rose stencil from Hot Off the Press. I blended with a blender brush using Lawn Fawn inks: Celery Stick for the green, Guava and Wild Rose for the pinks, and Moonstone for the blue; the blue turned pink tones purple. I used a Gina K stamp called More Massive Messages.
This card will be mailed to a lady turning 83 in April. As this is the same age as my mother, I chose to make a card that I knew my Mom would like. I think this lady will like the card. She doesn’t get much mail anymore and is always hoping for some, so her daughter requested cards for her. This request is located on Split Coast Stampers.
Stencil Challenge / Diana Scott
Stenciled this using the brushes and GK stencil – Florals in Dusty Rose and Fresh Asparagus. The Spring die cut was from my stash. Sending to my Sister in Illinois as she is so tired of the ice and snow!

Birthday Wish
Had fun making this card. I took an alcohol ink background that I did a while back, found some vellum and card stock that were close to one of the colors in the background and had some fun with a Hero Arts stamp set.
The colors don’t show up nearly as well in the picture as they do in person. And embossing on Yupo paper, even quickly and far away, causes a bit of bend. Oops!

A special 1st Birthday for a friend’s granddaughter. ONE is the outside and the inside used an embossing folder as well as balloons from Mama Elephant and sentiments is GKD’s Doodle Sayings. Martha Stewart trio butterfly punch and Momenta alphabet die.
