This card is for The Paper Players, PP473, challenge.
I watercolored on Ranger Watercolor Paper. The stamp set is Flowers in Bloom from My Favorite Things. I used SU Watercolor Pencils, then markers, then a bit more pencil. I used Spellbinders dies to create a frame. The frame is GKD Tomato Soup which is a close match for Poppy Parade. My neutral is black.
My card today will be entered into the Sunday Stamps SSC222 “Have a Banner of a Time” sketch challenge.
My background was created from my all time favorite DCWV The Mariposa Stack patterned paper pack, the banners were created using Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powder and the sentiment is a GKD Block Greetings stamp set. Both the block stamp and sentiment were heat embossed using Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold embossing powder. The ends of the banners were punched using a Martha Stewart corner butterfly punch then trimmed down the banner. A gold cording completes this card.

Playing with Sunday Stamps Weekly Challenge. I enjoy sketches and this sketch captured my eye.
I used Gina K Designs Blue Denim ink and cardstock. The white is Spectrum Noir cardstock. The stamp set used is Party Animals from Avery Elle. The patterned paper is Gina K Designs, Pool Side. I colored the twine with Spectrum Noir TB5.
This will also be entered in this month’s MISTI challenge at Split Coast Stampers. This blue is very close to the Pantone Color of the Year, Brilliant Blue.
Each month there is a MISTI challenge at Split Coast Stampers. This month it is to use the Pantone Color of the Year, Brilliant Blue. After thinking in blue tones for several days, I looked in my drawer and found a pretty good match.
The blue embossed background, is The Stamps of Life Blueberry cardstock. I saw the idea for birds on these trees from Darlene DeVries of Live Love Cards. I went with larger birds than hers, from Toucan Do It from Catherine Pooler Designs. I colored those birds with Tombow markers. The sentiment is from a set called Bird Banter from Stampin Up. I mounted the sentiment on Calypso Coral cardstock, as it seemed to go well with the pink colored bird. I used Gina K Design Key Lime for the cardbase. I enjoy these birds and this was fun to create.
This card has been entered in the Mod Squad Challenge and the CAS Colors & Sketches challenge. I posted both from Split Coast Stampers and wanted to share it here.
The inks remained on my desk after finished the last birthday card posted to these challenges. I decided to ink blend the colors to see how they would blend. They did okay, but I had a blob and couldn’t get it to blend more, so I finally decided to emboss the panel and see how it looked. I couldn’t decide what to place on it, then remembered this Lawn Fawn balloon die set. I cut the balloons, then got busy arranging. I decided on a greeting, then colored it with markers in the challenge colors. I have enjoyed creating with these colors.
I was in the need of two baby cards so I pulled out my GKD Bundle of Love stamp set from the Journey of the Heart StampTV kit and created my pink girl and blue boy card. Baby Girl was already born but we are waiting on that little boy to make an appearance.

Our youngest granddaughter is turning 2 on Monday. Alexandra or Xany as she was nicknamed by her dad is a little shy but I’m hoping this big bouquet of balloons will make her smile until we get to see her.
Stamp set is Gina K Designs Birthday Bash by Rupa Shevda, Cuttlebug embossing folder was inked with Hero Arts ombre ink pad, Poppystamps Pinpoint Balloons dies and Concord & 9th double cut numbers dies also used.

I got excited with the color challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches, so I had to go play with the color. Mod Squad is featuring balloons, so I was able to mix the two together.
I had fun with the colors. For So Saffron, I used a Tombow marker that is a close match, for Bermuda Bay and Petal Pink, I used SU markers in those colors. The cardbase is Gina K Designs Blue Lagoon, which matches Bermuda Bay. I used Lawn Fawn Simply Celebrate and Simply Sentiments for the balloons and sentiment. Love this set and never use it enough. I enjoy Clean and Simple cards, so this was fun to create.
Today’s card will be entered into two different challenge groups. The first challenge is the As You See It Challenge Recipe Challenge 216 to include snowflake, silver, sequins, dry embossing and an inspiring message.
I chose a Sizzix embossing folder from my stash that included a message area, the sentiment is from Maker’s Movement “You are a Unicorn” stamp and die set that I won on a Facebook question contest. Thanks Maker’s Movement. Snowflakes are SSS Sensational Snowflakes cut in various silver glitter cardstock. Sentiment was embossed Ranger silver embossing powder.
The second challenge is to include snowflakes on a card. Which makes this one card fit the bill for two challenges which is a first for me! This was very appropriate card since we woke up to a light covering of snow on grasses surfaces only. Now that’s my kind of snow.
