Thanks

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for a very dear friend. After getting a new cell phone that’s bigger than the one I had I asked her to crochet me a new pouch for it. I always have the pouch with the phone in it hanging on my wheelchair, so the phone is always with me.

Patterned papers were found online, sentiment die was gifted to me. The sentiment is popped up. I’m so proud of myself, this is the first time I was able to actually print the papers double sided.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Silly Monster

Hello and welcome. When I saw that Double D’s challenge was for kiddo’s I thought a silly monster card would be fun to make. I decided on an easel back pocket card. Patterned paper was found online, monster is from Stampin Up’s Owl Punch. Top layer on the insert was run through an ef from Sizzix. Googly eyes were in my stash; nose is a hand punched circle cut in half. I was having trouble coming up with a mouth, so I Googled silly monster mouth clip art printed one off and fussy cut it. To make the monster look a little creepier I used a cotton ball and black stamp pad to mess it up.

Trick Or Treat

Hello and welcome. What’s better than making a Halloween card. Patterned papers were all found in my stash. Sentiment is computer clip art, die cuts are Spellbinders Labels 1. The hardest part for me was figuring out the right size to cut the square pieces. Here is a photo of the card from Pinterest that I CASE’d

Look, People

Hello and welcome. Oh yeah, time again for dear old sisters’ chuckle card. Quote, “Oh look, there are people outside… Bless their hearts… Well, that’s enough social interaction for me today.” was found online. Image is online clip art that I fussy cut, background paper was found in my stash. Printing was done in my Hallmark card program. D-O-S loved it.

Boho Pots

The theme is flower pots and I die cut a Taylored Expressions Boho Pot die in grey added a bit of color around the edges and some splatter. The pot needed a flower so another TE stamp that was masked off and colored in this big bloom. The pot needed a landing spot on the Spellbinder’s oval nestabilities which is landing on TE strips which is landing on a larger Spellbinder’s oval embossed on the layering panel and added more splatter. TE sentiment from my stash added and at last some greens trailing out of my boho pot. This card was CASE’d from an email received from Mary Fish’s Stampin Pretty blog which I could no longer locate. Sorry. I liked her card so gave it a go for the:

Meow!!!

I think I have had one or two of these cats that loved to create havoc. Today’s card uses a Tim Holtz Alterations Sizzix stamp, die and embossing folder set names Cat Chat. Perfect for the Can You Handle the Pressure with a theme of cats and/or dogs. Perfect if I would have posted before the deadline???? LOL!!

I finally used the ink blended background which was originally embossed, sanded and then embossed with the Cat Chat yarn embossing folder. Glad to get it off my desk.

Happy Eighth

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our great-grandson. The idea for this card came from Pinterest. To add a little texture to the white layer I scored diagonally every 1/2″ in both directions. Balloons are from the Silhouette. Since my handwriting is so bad I had hubby write the letters on the balloons. Circle dies are Spellbinders Scalloped and Classic circles. Sentiment and number were done on the computer. Balloon strings are from my stash. Card is 5 x 5. I was a little worried about how it might turn out but I’m very pleased with it.

Fractured Wishes

I was anxious to use my new Divinity Designs Fractured Quilt Landscape die and ended up making a few cards with Divinity Designs Beautiful Bouquets A2 card fronts patterned papers. Card one uses a Hero Arts die and sentiment strip from my stash, card 2 sentiment was a die with shadow set gifted to me and card 3 uses Taylored Expressions dies from my stash.

My top card will be shared in the:

Buds and Butterflies

Using Taylored Expressions Buds & Blossoms stamp and stencil combo and add on die today for a Triple B challenge today. I decided on pinks and orange for my buds, TEs Frame in Frame 3 die which creates a border edge and cuts the middle out which I then popped up with foam strips. Sentiment is TEs All Together Occassions 2 stamp/die set and an old Prickley Pear die for the shape behind my sentiment. Martha Stewart triple butterfly punch in case buds are not considered blossoms :)!

My card will be shared with Triple B: July 2025 Challenge
