Bee-Cause

Today’s card will be shared with the Double D Challenges: Bee Happy Challenge with a theme of Bee Happy to include either bees or the word happy. Thank goodness it wasn’t both because I only have bees on my card project. I decided on kraft cardstock and using white pigment ink and Taylored Expressions Polka Dot stencil for the background on my notecard. After cutting TE’s Arched Stacklets die in kraft and adding a white border, I die cut Gina K Designs Fresh Cut Flowers dies in white, added a sentiment and bee trail from a Sweet n Sassy stamp set called Bee Happy Rhubarb. I think Rhubarb was the bear in this cute set. Three bees were die cut using TE’s Petal Pop die.

Another fun Double D challenge. Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care; stay safe.

Hum!!!

I don’t normally make a lot of fun fold cards so off I went to Pinterest for some ideas when I came across this corner closure fun fold. I was on my phone when I located it so cannot give a link to the YouTube video I watched. The patterned paper layers are Gina K Designs Watercolor Floral patterned paper and Taylored Expressions Create In Quads Flit and Flutter stencil and dies, TE’s Swirly Roses stencil and Kindness in Bloom stamp and die sentiment set.

Thainking of You

Hello and welcome. The challenge at Just Us Girls this week is to CASE a design team member. I chose to case Vicki. While searching through online coloring pages I came across the same image Vicki had used. Coloring was done with Copic markers, then for a little interest I scored double lines on all 4 edges. Sentiment die is one I bought on Amazon; sorry I don’t have a name for it. Sentiment was printed in my Hallmark card program. Once finished I actually liked it.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Summer Dreams

The bags aren’t packed and I’m not taking off for a vacation but if I made this card two weeks earlier I could have given it to my daughter and family for their Hawaiian vacation….tsunami and all!! My summer vacation theme card begins with an American Crafts Perfect Vacation paper pad that has been in my stash forever. The two patterned papers chosen were die cut with Taylored Expressions’ All Planned Out 1 die set and I added Sunny Studio’s Sending Sunshine stamp/die in a double stitched circle while popping up the sentiment from the same set. Fun patterned paper and I will be sharing my card with:

Love those Pretty Papers August Challenge

The vacationers and the islands were spared from the tsunami and maybe a one day trip to the Jersey Shore in September for me. Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and stay safe.

Bloomin’ Smiles

An adorably cute image from Unity Stamps (Lil’ Bloomer) is the focal point on my clean and simple card today. After coloring my little mouse with some markers, I used a Taylored Expressions Easy Edges die for the scalloped edge and layered this on a yellow notecard. Sentiment is from a Gina K Designs stamp set You Make Me Smile. And smiling I was because there are no inky finger smudges on this card! Phew!!!

My Scene

Make way for another Halloween card for my stash! A fun one to make using Whimsy Stamps BOO-keh paper pad and sentiment strips while my Ghost Town Border is a Taylored Expressions product as are the Wavy Stitched Stacklet that impressed the stitching on the notecard and Squiggly Stacklets which was used to die cut my layering patterned paper. This was all popped up on some green cardstock and a little sparkle from Wink of Stella.

Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge: August 2025 Anything Goes Halloween

Happy Halloween

Hello and welcome. Today’s card happened because I just can’t resist making Halloween cards. Background paper was in my stash, creepy guys are from a die set by ALLIBBON bought on Amazon, bats are from a Tim Holtz Sizzix die set. Before die cutting, I added adhesive back paper to the cs. Sentiment was printed in my Hallmark card program. I used the Tim Holtz distress tool on the background paper then used a cotton ball with black ink to darken the edges. I am pretty happy with this one.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Bookish

After using Colorful Options August challenge mood board as for my inspiration, this is the card I made. Autumn Is Calling stamp/die set from Rabbit Hole Designs, Taylored Expressions Garden Trellis embossing folder embossed on a wood grained patterned paper and swiped lightly with black ink. A circle die cut piece of vellum to help separate the focal image from the background. My colors are a combination of the two sets provided. I always seem to need a pop of color in my neutrals.
