Floral Birthday Slimline

I decided to play along with this week’s MFT Sketch.

I used dies from MFT for this card. They are retired and I do not have the name handy. I pulled cut ones from my stash and placed them on patterned paper that matched cardstock in my stash. The top piece of cardstock is MFT while the card base is Gina K Designs. I can’t tell you the color names as I sorted my GKD paper by color and didn’t label with specific names. The MFT cardstock is my itself, but I do not know the names. Welcome to my storage method. I know the stitched lines die is from Gina Marie Designs. The slimline circle die that I used to cut the circles is from The Stamps of Life as well as the scalloped border. The banner die is Spellbinders.

This will be posted to: https://www.mftstamps.com/blogs/news/wsc642

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my card. The sketch is a WEBP file and I am struggling with saving and posting these. The sketch resembles an A2 size, but one of the designer samples is a slimline size. I chose that size as these floral images fit better on a slimline size.

Birthday Plaid

I received a new set of dies and found a challenge to use them with.

This is the Kaleidoscope Plaid die from Spellbinders. It is a set of three dies that you can place together in different ways to change the plaid. I used the colors from the As You See It Challenge: http://www.asyouseeitchallenge.com/2023/04/297.html

Gorgeous Grape is the cardbase and one layer of the plaid. Coastal Cabana is a layer in the plaid and the scalloped circle. Parakeet Party is the green plaid layer. So Saffron is the yellow scalloped layer and circle with the greeting.

I enjoyed using this plaid die set. It was released for Christmas a couple of years ago and it is quite versatile.

Marigold Slimline

It has been a long time since I have made a slimline card. The CAS Colours & Sketches has a sketch that makes a slimline card, so I dusted off the cobwebs and got busy making a slimline card. I own many dies for this card size and used not even one with this card.

For this card, I used a variety of products. I used Technique Tuesday Marigold Flower (2021) coloring it with Pale Papaya and Mint Macaron both SU colors that are retiring in two weeks. The Hello die and mini strip are Gina K Designs from A Little Hello Layering Stencil Bundle (2021). The patterned paper is SU, cut down from a card base.

This will be entered in three challenges.

I enjoyed making this card. Finding several challenges that it seems to fit into are a plus. Thanks for spending time with me today.

Floral Hello

I used the colors from CAS Colours & Sketches for this card.

This die is new this week. It is one I selected for my husband to give me for my birthday. It is Stampin Up Sending Flowers Die. I think it was a sale-a-bration set from a couple of years ago, but we found it new on my demonstrators website. I cut the main circle of the set with Shaded Spruce cardstock. It cuts the circle with leaves and flowers. Then there are flower dies which I cut with Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry cardstock. I used glue dots to apply the flowers, then used Nuvo drops for the centers. The greeting was cut with one of the dies in the set. I used a Hero Arts set called Everyday Sayings for the greeting. I am learning the die and all I can do with it, but am pleased so far.

This will be entered in: http://cascoloursandsketches.blogspot.com/2023/04/challenge-508-colors.html

I will share the other card made using this set of dies. This is for a color challenge at Splitcoast Stampers.

These colors are Parakeet Party, Fresh Freesia, and Calypso Coral. I used glue dots on this one as well.

Thanks for spending time with me.

Watering Can Hello

I have been enjoying using new product this week. This card uses a set from Simon Says Stamp called Joys of Spring.

The leaves behind the can are a die from The Stamps of Life. They may be the first time I have used it, but it has been in my stash for a couple of years. The watering can and butterfly both came from the SSS set which came with matching dies. The embossing folder is Stampin Up. I use this cloud folder quite a bit.

The can and butterfly were watercolored with Stampin Up markers. The colors used are Crushed Curry, Shaded Spruce, and Melon Mambo. The leaves are also Shaded Spruce.

This card will be entered in the following challenges:

CAS Colours & Sketches http://cascoloursandsketches.blogspot.com/2023/04/challenge-508-colors.html

Can You Handle the Pressure? https://cyhtp.blogspot.com/2023/04/anything-goes-with-twist-of-clouds.html

Thanks for stopping by and seeing my card. I am enjoying using product that has been in my stash or is new, but I hadn’t had a chance to use it. The SSS set was purchased recently with a good sale price. I like sales.

Easter Tulips

I have a tulip card I made for Easter.

https://cyhtp.blogspot.com/2023/03/anything-goes-embossing-with-twist-of.html

I used the SU set called Blessed Easter. This was purchased nearly 10 years ago. It came as a single wood block stamp with the greeting attached to the tulip. I separated the images making two separate stamps. I often use the tulips for birthday cards during the Spring. I used Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol to color the tulips. I chose Gina K Designs Artists Choice paper for the images. The argyle layer is Echo Park patterned paper. I used an SU embossing folder for the border.

Easter Cross Card

I have an Easter card that will be entered in the Can You Handle the Pressure? challenge.

https://cyhtp.blogspot.com/2023/03/anything-goes-embossing-with-twist-of.html

I used the set SU Hold onto Hope for this card. I used Gina K Edible Eggplant and Fresh Asparagus for ink and cardstock. The white paper is SU as well as the glimmer paper in the cross. I used the Garden Trellis embossing folder from SU.

I have been participating in Virtual Stamp Night with Splitcoast Stampers and this was added to the 7 Layer Challenge. The theme is On the Menu. I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest.

Spring Bloom

I have been coloring lately. This bloom set is new to me. I am entering this is the Triple B March Challenge. https://dd-tripleb.blogspot.com/2023/03/march-challenge.html

Two other challenges have come to my attention which this card fits. Shopping our Stash: https://shoppingourstash.blogspot.com/2023/02/sos491-flowers-flowers-everywhere.html

Four Seasons: Spring Season March: https://thefourseasonschallenge.blogspot.com/2023/03/spring-season-march-2023-challenge.html

I used Honey Bee Spring Joy Bouquet stamp and die set. I colored it with Spectrum Noir markers. The background paper is Stampin Up Blushing Bride and Basic White. The patterned paper is also SU Perfectly Artistic which was released in 2016. I looked it up to the get the name and the date was in the blog I found.

I used a tutorial by Lynn Dunn. I love her tutorials as they are so easy to follow and I am able to use whatever product I have on hand. https://stamptasticdesigns.com/2023/03/08/diagonal-design-cut-and-shuffle-technique/

Hinge Fun Fold Card

I am sharing my card for the Challenge Your Stash February card. This is a group I participate on Splitcoast Stampers. The challenge was to use red in honor of the hostess’s 40th Anniversary.

I used Gina K Designs Red Hot cardstock with a gingham paper from Echo Park. The jar and strawberries are from Lawn Fawn, How You Bean and the Strawberry Add-on.

I used a tutorial by Lynn Dunn. I watched her video and followed her directions.

Thanks for spending time with me. I enjoy her tutorials and are easy to adapt to any stamps and papers.
