Birthday Plaid

I received a new set of dies and found a challenge to use them with.

This is the Kaleidoscope Plaid die from Spellbinders. It is a set of three dies that you can place together in different ways to change the plaid. I used the colors from the As You See It Challenge: http://www.asyouseeitchallenge.com/2023/04/297.html

Gorgeous Grape is the cardbase and one layer of the plaid. Coastal Cabana is a layer in the plaid and the scalloped circle. Parakeet Party is the green plaid layer. So Saffron is the yellow scalloped layer and circle with the greeting.

I enjoyed using this plaid die set. It was released for Christmas a couple of years ago and it is quite versatile.

  1. Wow, Lisa, this is so cool! What an amazing effect from layering these dies, and how pretty in our colors, too, lol. Thanks so much for playing at As You See It!

    1. Thank you! I had to try those colors with that die. I was thrilled when they worked so well together. Now I need to find something to do with all of those triangles left over.

  2. Great card. That die set does have a lot of possibilities. I have it, but have never used it. I must give it a try.

    1. I thought you used it. It must have been someone else. It is easy to use. I watched a couple of videos which helped. Thanks!

  3. This looks great! It’s a fun die set, and I love how you arranged them on your card. Your scalloped rectangle and circle panels go together nicely as well.

  4. WOW! What a stunning set of dies! So much potential. Yet they look amazing in these bright colours. Thanks for joining in with us at As You See It.

  5. I have this die set and have used it a few times. You did a lovely job with it and with these colours. So pretty and so vibrant.

    1. Thanks! I just found a card you sent me using this die set. I struggle cutting it out. Maybe my paper is too thick that I keep trying to use. These came from my stash.

      1. You may be using something that is too thick, but I too had a few issues with them. I have a shim I use when I have trouble but it is hard to get it to go through the machine sometimes.

  6. Lisa those dies are fabulous and that is such a great way to feature them with this week’s bold colour palette; the central sentiment provides the perfect focal point too. A great card! Thanks for sharing with us over at As You See It Challenge this week!

  7. Wow! What a great way to use the dies and get all the bright and beautiful colors in there. Love the texture you got with putting the different layers together.
