Watering Can Hello

I have been enjoying using new product this week. This card uses a set from Simon Says Stamp called Joys of Spring.

The leaves behind the can are a die from The Stamps of Life. They may be the first time I have used it, but it has been in my stash for a couple of years. The watering can and butterfly both came from the SSS set which came with matching dies. The embossing folder is Stampin Up. I use this cloud folder quite a bit.

The can and butterfly were watercolored with Stampin Up markers. The colors used are Crushed Curry, Shaded Spruce, and Melon Mambo. The leaves are also Shaded Spruce.

This card will be entered in the following challenges:

CAS Colours & Sketches http://cascoloursandsketches.blogspot.com/2023/04/challenge-508-colors.html

Can You Handle the Pressure? https://cyhtp.blogspot.com/2023/04/anything-goes-with-twist-of-clouds.html

Thanks for stopping by and seeing my card. I am enjoying using product that has been in my stash or is new, but I hadn’t had a chance to use it. The SSS set was purchased recently with a good sale price. I like sales.

  1. This is super. Colourful and beautifully done with your careful colouring. I really like the cloud folder too.

  2. Your watering can of spring bulbs is just lovely Lisa – perfect for spring. Thanks for playing with us over at CAS Colours & Sketches this week!

  3. What a lovely spring card. Embossed cloud background is so perfect for the pretty spring flowers and the butterfly.

  4. That cloud embossing folder makes a great background. Your watering can and flowers are beautifully colored and the added vellum greens are a great additon to your arrangement.

    1. Thank you! I thought it could use something else and the vellum greens won. I have several foliage dies so I should cut several to use when I am looking for something small to add.

  5. What an adorably sweet card, and your embossed background is perfect. So much wonderful work here, and great take on the challenge. Thanks so much for playing along with us over at Can You Handle the Pressure, hope to see you back again soon!

      1. You are correct. It does look stitched. It is a fun embossing folder. I seem to use it quite a bit when I need clouds and really do not want a lot of dimension. Thanks!
