carrot chomper

https://cardsbygerry.blogspot.com/

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our 5 year old great-grandson. Pp was found online, bunny is from the Silhouette. My first thought was to make the bunny a wobbler but then since his arm swivels I decided to put a carrot in his hand instead of an egg and thought it would be kind of cute for Matthew to be able to move the carrot to and from the bunny’s mouth. Bunny is popped up with mounting tape. Carrot is computer clip art that I fussy cut then used a decorative scissor to cut the tip to look like the bunny had taken a bite. Tail has brown Fun Flock from Stumpendous and of course I couldn’t resist the googly eye. “Happy” was printed on the computer. For a little interest I cropped the chick in the egg from the pp then added to the oval. “Easter” is computer clip art. Oval punches are from Stampin Up.

bunny with egg

Hello and welcome. This has been kind of a bad week for me, I had a nasty reaction to antibiotics. But, that’s in the past now…. on to creating.

Today’s card is for our 4-year-old great-granddaughter. Pp was a just the right size scrap in my stash. Embossing folder used is Stampin Up. Oval dies are Spellbinders Scalloped and Classic Ovals, sentiment ovals are Stampin Up punches. Sentiment was printed on the computer. Bunny image is from an online coloring page. I used Prismacolor pencils for the bunny and Copic’s for the flowers and egg.

masculine birthday

Hello and welcome. Here I am with another card using foil. Embossing the foil didn’t work out too well for me last time, so this time I mounted the foil on cs before embossing and it worked much better. Today’s card is for our son. Zig Zag ef is from Stampin Up, die cuts are Spellbinders Classic Diamonds, corner strips were cut on the paper trimmer. Number candles were found online and sentiment was printed on the computer.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy and safe.

foiled birthday

https://cardsbygerry.blogspot.com/

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for my bonus grandson aka, favorite busser. While perusing Pinterest I saw several cards with a similar layout and using foil. I tried embossing the foil but that didn’t go well for me, so I just crumpled it. After it was all put together, I thought if I used a black stamp pad and a brayer it might soften the glare of the foil. So, I took it apart, used a different piece of foil, brayered it and was happy with the result and put it back together. Center square is Stitched Squares by Die-namics with sentiment printed on the computer. Square is popped up.

pretending

Hello and welcome. Time again for dear-old-sisters’ chuckle of the month card.

Sentiment, “It’s OK to pretend you’re Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, After all you pretend you’re good on Christmas!” was found online. Leprechaun and 4 inside clovers are from an online coloring page colored with Copic’s, border was also found online. Well, isn’t this just one of the shortest posts ever???

Hello and welcome. It’s been a while since I’ve entered the Two Old Bats challenge, so I decided it’s about time to get back to it.

Today’s card was quite simple. Pp was found online, and Mr. Creepy is from the Silhouette. I sort of softened him with a cotton ball and Basic Gray stamp pad. He’s double popped up. Using a single pop dot didn’t raise him quite enough so I doubled them. Jus before I took the picture, I thought the eyes needed a little something, so I added Black Diamond Stickles.

Thanks for stopping by. You and your visits are very important to me. Have a great day and stay healthy and safe.

deepest sympathy

Hello and welcome. After a wonderful 4 days with our granddaughter I’m back in my craft room.

Today’s card is for our busser who takes very good card of us every week. Unfortunately, his dad recently passed away. He is such a nice young man I just had to let him know how sorry we are for his loss.

Pp is from SU, die used is Swirly Scribbles Thinlits from SU. Sentiment was printed on the computer and punched with SU’s Small Oval punch and popped up. This was a very quick and easy card.

Thanks for stopping by your visits mean a lot to me. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

double angle tri-fold

Hello and welcome. If you’re in the path of the nasty snowstorm I hope you stay safe.

Today’s card is my first try at a double angle tri-fold. Since the measure part of my brain doesn’t work well, I wasted more than a few pieces of pp. Card base is my last piece of SU’s Old Olive cs and the pp had been in my stash for several years. Scalloped circle is Spellbinders Scalloped Circle die, sentiment circle was found online and punched with a 1 3/8″ circle punch. I think I’ll be sending this to our d-i-l.
