Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for my bonus grandson aka, favorite busser. While perusing Pinterest I saw several cards with a similar layout and using foil. I tried embossing the foil but that didn’t go well for me, so I just crumpled it. After it was all put together, I thought if I used a black stamp pad and a brayer it might soften the glare of the foil. So, I took it apart, used a different piece of foil, brayered it and was happy with the result and put it back together. Center square is Stitched Squares by Die-namics with sentiment printed on the computer. Square is popped up.
Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.
Cool looking card and a good idea to brayer the foil.
Thank you Johanna
This is a great sketch design for your foil elements. Great tip to crumble and use the brayer.
Thans Gayle. I’m still going to work on embossing the foil.
I really like the sketch. The brayered foil turned out great. I would have never thought of doing that.
Thank you Judy. Every once in a while I get an idea that works.
How cool to get the look you wanted by using your own technique. And too fun to get a bonus human of any kind.
Thank you.
Looks great! Your idea worked well and made a lovely card.
Thank you Lisa.
Great masculine card design! Adding the black to the crumpled foil was a good idea; looks great!
Thanks Lisa. Masculine cards are always a challenge for me and it’s a bonus when my own idea works.
Hi, Gerry!
I’m so glad you were able to pop up the square! It looks great!
Do you want to share the die-namics square? I’d love to see it!
Thanks,
Karen
This is a great card Gerry! Love the look you got with the foil.
I’ve found that if I adhere the foil to card, then emboss it, it works.
