’tis the season

Hello and welcome. This card is a CASE of one I saw on Pinterest. The background paper was in my stash. For the square cut out in the frame layer I used a Spellbinders classic square die then ran the piece through a Cuttlebug snowflake ef. Punches used for the snowman are 1 3/4, 3/4″ circles for body and hands, hat is a 1″square with the top corners rounded, Word Window for the hat band, eyes and heart cheeks are hand punches, nose was hand cut, mouth was drawn. Holly in the hat is from an unbranded die set. I used a sponge dauber with Bashful Blue stamp pad to edge the circles. Sentiment was printed on the computer and the tags were cut with my paper trimmer. Snowflakes are from a small punch.

Faults And Flaws

Hello and welcome. Time for DOS chuckle of the month card. As usual, image and sentiment “Some people refuse to admit their faults and flaws. I would if I had any.” were found online. Because it’s been a while since I made a slimline card, I decided to make this a mini slimline. Since it’s so plain, beyond CAS, I decided to score 1/2″ squares down each side to add some texture. I’m not too sure about this one but DOS liked it.

Angled Thanksgiving

Hello and welcome. For today’s card I cut a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Pumpkin Pie to layer on the Soft Suede card base then cut the PP layer 1″ shorter and cut from the top right corner to 1″ from bottom left. I adhered the PP after the sentiment was printed. Pilgrim hats are computer clip art. It took a few tries on scrap paper to get the sentiment angle right, but I think it came out ok. I’m not sure if I’m happy with the end result or not.

Square Thanksgiving

Hello and welcome. Here I am with yet another very easy Thanksgiving card. This one will go to our 25-year-old grandson. Background paper was found online, turkey with greeting is computer clip art, dies used are stitched squares by Die-namics. I really need to stop taking the easy way out.

Happy Thanksgiving

Hello and welcome. Now on to Thanksgiving cards. I wasn’t very sure about this one till hubby said he thought it looks good. Patterned papers were in my stash. The scalloped edges were hand cut with decorative scissors. Stitched dies used are ones I bought on Amazon and don’t have a brand for them. Sentiment was printed on the computer. Pretty quick and easy.

Last ’25 Halloween Card

Hello and welcome. Thought I was done with Halloween cards for this year but then I realized our cleaning lady will be here on Halloween.

When I was looking through Pinterest, I saw this background image and thought it would work well with the witch and cat die cuts I had just discovered in my Halloween stash. Sentiment was printed in my Hallmark card program. It took several tries to get it placed just right but I think it’s in a good spot.

golfing Skeleton

Hello and welcome. Yup, another personalized card. This one is also for a busser at our favorite restaurant, who plays a lot of golf. We’ve been going to this restaurant so long the entire staff is like our second family. We’ve known this guy for several years and since our grandson, the same age, is in MN he very kindly listens to my grandmotherly advice. Background paper and golfer image were found online, gates are a Tim Holts die set.

Rockin Skeleton

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for the busser that keeps our coffee filled every Tues. morning. He recently told us he plays bass guitar in a band, so I just had to find a skeleton playing a guitar. It’s amazing what you can find online. Pp and image were both found online. It took a little trial and error to get the sentiment placed just right. I’m very happy with it and hubby likes it too. I found the measurements here https://imastamping.blogspot.com/2023/09/bag-of-bones-missing-middle.html

creepy orange and black

Hello and welcome. This turned out to be a very fun card to make. I love those creepy little guys from a no name die set I got on Amazon and thought they might make a fun fractured card. Bats are from a Tim Holtz die set. Sentiment square is Stitched Squares by Die-namics. Background paper and sentiment were both found online. The strips were cut using an antique photo paper cutter.
